Sorry for the delay...some major roster issues I had to try and figure out.

    - LAA: 29 in BLB...moved some to DL and some to AA (you also had 1 player in A ball so I had to move players to A ball)
    - Dal: 29 in AAA
    - NYK: 28 in AA

No big deal. I just hate making choices and DFA or cutting players. I have the OSA scout to go by which isn't always the best.

Did the minors always start with the BLB...or is that something we need to push back a week?

This is the first time in as long as I can remember that they started at the same time.

Depends on when our season starts. Once in awhile we get a late start (BLB) and we all go at once.

          I like it actually.

Yeah, I don't mind it. Just wasn't prepared for it because I always remembered minors starting later.

5-2. Ian Reynolds carries us early, just like last season. Salcedo up to #6 on the Top Players list. Colin Cash makes his first appearance.

                        - Couldn't have scripted a better opening to the 2006 season than taking 3/4 from Maine while hurting all their players. Actually, I guess we could have swept. But I'll content myself with this.

                        - NY putting the Lager on notice. We see you, Knights.

                        - Cleveland seems poised to carry on the grand tradition of Cleveland sports.

                        - R.J. Curtis: still the boss at age 35.

Robles hurt after 1 AB, out for a month. Offense just shuts down. Five unearned runs this week. Feels like last year all over again. Let's see what this Rogelio kid's got.

4-3 sim, including four one-run and three extra-innings games.

Good: The trio of "aces" of Travis DuFour, Troy Hanback and CJ Skinner combined for four starts and five ER. If you throw in "youngster" Terry Bornemann's scoreless start, that's pretty impressive.

Good: Tyler McLouth is going to be given a chance to start at 2B all year. With the bat he struggled, but defensively he held it down in four starts. He is going to need regular ABs this year so his defense is key. I think the bat will come around.

Bad: The bullpen blew two games. Well, specifically "closer" David Saucedo did. It might be a long year in the pen with this group. Definitely going to be going by committee. I have a group of solid bullpen types but no real stud. If I'm contending by mid-season this might have to be addressed.

Bad: Two of my best prospects got hurt, bad. In Triple-A, SS Tommy Tipsword tore his labrum and will miss the entire season. OF Makato Kataoka strained his hammy and will miss six weeks. They were my #1 IF and #1 OF call-ups for the season. Will have to look elsewhere if I have BLB injuries I guess.

Good: Doug Briggs was able to make all seven starts this week behind the plate. He is 79% rested and gets a day off to start this week. I'm not sure how long I will be able to go with only one catcher but I'm going to try and make it work.

Bad: And yet again, still no scout. Despite offering exactly what the guy wanted, he declines...and if you haven't looked at the scouting pool, it's crap anyways.
