My manager is convinced that left-handed starting first baseman Nari Garin should be the backup third baseman.

I've never put him in the depth chart at third--because that would be insane--and we've always had at least one backup at the position.

Yet, Garin has played 24 games at third this year for an average of three innings each.
    I don't think so.

The CPU does this for me with Heishu Shiraishi at 2B.

Ian Reynolds plays 3B and 1B unless I fill in the depth chart all the way and leave no empty spots.

Wessin Ramirez has been known to roam around second base.

We aren't sure what he's doing there but taking up space.

The least he could do is trample a base stealer or two.

We would have 162 wins if it wasn't for injuries... or breaking even vs Denver this year. WTF is up with that?

Reynolds is at least qualified to play those positions, and I don't have empty spots in my depth chart.

Hold up on breaking even. We have two more games to embarrass you.

                Just noticed...

My offer two sims ago to OF Chad Sinclair went through. I signed him this sim to a one-year $1.25M deal and he is now asking for a six-year $12M extension. He won't be post-season eligible...and won't start any games, but maybe he will get a few key pinch hit ABs for me? And maybe is willing to come back cheap? Probably not.

But how did this guy not get signed by anyone all year? Last year he won the IL DWI for LF. He hit 39 doubles, 27 HR, 93 RBI and a 122 OPS+ while carrying Morgantown to 79 wins. He's a three time DWI winner, two time All-Star, two time player of the week and his 162 BLB averages are 33 doubles, 5 triples, 28 HRs, 92 RBI and a 112 OPS+. Sure he strikes out a lot but no one needed this type of power this year?

He was Plan B if I hadn't gotten Pat Marlin. I'm surprised Carlos didn't take a flyer on him or someone in the DL that needed a bat. I offered him a minor league deal in August. He said no twice.

I spent the last two months of the year when Danford was hurt and ineffective trying to sign Sinclair to a $2-3M deal, but I lost interest after he kept asking for more money and it turned out that Rex Morgan can still crush righties.

I didn't sign him because he was asking for too much.

Trust me, I tried several times to get him to bite on something less expensive but he wasn't having it.

So I gave up on it around August.

I would have continued to look but I figured he would do what he's doing now to Pat. He's still gonna want to get paid so I didn't see the benefit in having him for a month unless I was competing.

I had an offer in for about 2 million for a month. I think he was looking for 11+.

Good luck to all going down the stretch!

Been pretty damn busy in real life this season with the baby, new house, and work, so I haven't been around a whole lot. Feel like I let this season get away from me, but here's to hoping we can pull out a good week.
