Lost our starting 3B the rest of the year. We were even resting him frequently. Also lost our SS for 2 weeks. Out C hasn't hit the ball since last month and hasn't homered since July. We hit .212 last week.

Our pitching will have to carry the load.

Too much distance. I think we cut it to about 3 before it is all said and done though.

Lost another game on an unearned run. Up to -9 PYT now. But hey we're back up to #1 in defense. Bringing up a fair amount of kids to take a good look at.

I don't know, 7 games is a lot of games to make up in one month.

There's a reason it was such a ridiculous thing to happen to the Mets (twice!) or that great playoff race a couple years back.

Batavia would need a serious collapse. Their worst month was the last at .519%. Assuming they kept that up for the remainder of the schedule, they would go 14-12, finishing with a 98-64 record. Baltimore would then have to go 21-5 for an astounding .807%.

And while Death Valley did accomplish that back in April, it still means Batavia has to play below their overall level for the next 26 games.

It's not happening. 7 games isn't really as small as you think.

Never count Bustavia out. We're tired and banged up. Time to see how the young guys do.

Batavia vs. Baltimore play seven more times this season. The lead is seven games. It's possible.

Pawtucket was 5 games back of the wildcard in 95 with 13 games left. Guess what happened?

Not saying its probable but not ready to declare a winner yet.

Kind of fun that only two of eight races are decided at this point.

I'd just be happy with the wildcard.

With the way this team has played during the 2nd half of the season however, I'm not going to lie and act like we don't see it as a remote possibility.

But first things first, we have to take care of bin'ess against Washington this week. And a little help from DVS wouldn't hurt.

Ditto on the wildcard. Right now Pawtucket needs it's players back
