Oscar Gomez comes back from lengthy injury and picks up a win and 3 saves. Nice to have him back.

We're an above average team, nothing more. 30-20 the last two months. -8 PYT we WILL find a way to lose games. Gaudy stats but cracks everywhere. Bullpen and unearned runs continue to sink this team.

When we lose in the playoffs it won't be an upset.

Another .500 week. This has been a very awkward August.

Interestingly enough (and sadly), we only need to go 16-16 to avoid a 100-loss season for the sixth straight time. Next stop: .400 baseball! Let's go Bulls!

Poor baby, got an injury. No sympathy from the boys in Pawtucket.

You need more Iron Men. If you didn't wait until August every year to be any good, you wouldn't have to play your guys all out in the dog days of summer. Need to find yourself some depth.

We have the 2nd best defense in all of baseball currently...yet we have 7 more unearned runs than the worst defense in baseball. We have roughly twice as many unearned runs as most of the other top teams. So when we make a mistake we always pay. It's funny how this game works. Helps explain our -8 PYT record too.

Thing is it hasn't been getting better, it's been getting worse.

I have 7 starting pitchers (Aparacio recently returned) Guess its time to see if Lorenzo Guzman is ready?

But yes, more iron men are needed. Major reason Zak is now on our team.

                    Bottom line:

If we hang in there next 3 weeks we have a good shot since thats when pretty much when everyone appears to be coming back. If not, wasn't meant to be.

                      3-3 week...two one-run losses.

Now tied with Baltimore for the Wildcard.

                      Trade with Dallas was invalid.

On the bright side... no injuries?

I don't think I've ever left a 3-3 sim (granted, against top notch opponents) feeling so good.

4-2. Struggled against Indy but brought the broom to Dallas. Whitworth goes 8.7 IP, 0 ER and probably should've been kept in to get the shutout. That kid has been a lifesaver. Katsura looked good and Keifer bounced back with 11 K after being rocked by Indy.

Next week we face our thorn, Philly. No matter what happens, this has been one of the more epic rides tho team has had.

We are dying after the Aten injury. Losing Velasquez didn't help either. Now tied with those evil Clowns and going in the wrong direction.
