After blowing out Morgantown in three games, we painfully dropped two of three at home to Wilmington. Damn it. We really wanted that second series.

The good news is that Pawtucket also played Morgantown and Wilmington and went 2-4. So we're back up a game and a half in the Ale.

Happy trails to former Guide Ismael Reyes, who announced he's retiring after this season.

Battled with Pittsburgh but managed to take two of three....then got only one in Hartford. Wildcard lead is just one game. Might need to switch to five-man rotation as Baltimore is nipping at my heels. For those teams I have been PMing about deals, let's start finalizing deals.

In minor league news...SS Joel Montezuma, drafted 3.20 this year, hit .252 with a .364 OBP (scout says 6 eye potential) but also has 5-5-5 potential as a SP. I gave him a start to end the year, 8.1 IP, 4H, 0 ER, 3BB, 3K. Interesting...

Guess Gaston ends up in the DH role sooner then later.

Time to find out if this Dave Jennings character in AAA is real or not.

He's not. We tried for years. If he starts hitting for you then I'll be convinced Denver is a place to die.

Amazes me that they keep hanging in there. Thought you'd have this wrapped by now.

I'm the opposite. I love have the DH spot to give players rest.

Pawtucket tends to use a DH/dual 1B combo so obviously it tends to hurt us.

Think we need to change this with the next generation.

Or you can take Denver's strategic approach:

                            Hope and pray.

The -8 PYT record doesn't help.
