Finally drop out of first in the Ale after losing two one-run games at Pawtucket and two at home to Hartford after blowing them out 16-4 in the first game of the series.

    Not sure what to think.

Water finds it level. Our one run loss record was putrid in the first half. It's just balancing out now.

Nothing really to see. Well....it's nice Quinn has joined the 2005 season finally.

Back-to-back 4-2 weeks. This time against the top of the Pilsner.

The heck is going on here.

Might have to side with Jistic at least for this week. No reason why my rested closer isn't in the game with us leading 3-2 in the 9th and a chance to sweep Dallas.

Great week for Washington. 3-1 @ Morgantown, 2-1 vs. Death Valley. Back in the starting lineup is 2004 DWI 2B Jerry Davis and he is on fire. On 8/4, his first game back as a regular starter, he was hitting .230 with a .581 OPS. Today, 8/15, he is at .264 with a .655 OPS, including five multi-hit games in a week.

Around the league...Feel sorry for Mwetts. I think it's time for a new trainer. Team has been plagued with injuries all season long...and this week they lost 3B Tom Griffiths, a rookie hitting .297, for the next five weeks and the real nail in the coffin, SP Ian Fain for six months with a torn labrum. Still just two games back of the Wildcard and 2.5 of the division...good luck.

Cali and Baltimore played, with the Bulldogs taking 2/3. They are now 3 GB of DC, with California now six...Unfortunately for Baltimore, OF Alex Gomez is hurt with diagnosis pending. The guy is hitting .331 and could prove to be a big loss if it's a long injury.

            Next week interleague!

Ian Fain isn't a big loss. Mwetts will be fine. I don't think he will ever reach is potential. My scout has had him locked 6-5-5 forever. Solid pitcher nothing more. He gets Seth Race back soon. It's a softball team why fight it?

My scout has him 6-6-6 but a "strong #3 in a rotation." It's still a pretty big loss.

More concerning would be his six games on the road against Washington and Death Valley this upcoming week.

Like I said "decent" but it will be easy to replace a career.high 3 era guy. Not the "nail in the coffin" however.

                        Home: 4.95 ERA
                        Away: 3.16 ERA
                        3.3 WAR

Not quite a "nail in the coffin" and I think his team is deep enough to stay competitive but he has had some shitty luck with injuries this year.

He's no Joe Roldan ! OK that was a joke, but I agree on the injuries.

Maybe Pitt was meant to dominate the back half of those decade.

So a 6-0 week turns into a 3-3 week because of our pen. Obviously the manager has no faith either since he let Katsura and Taylor go 9.
