Good thing I traded for Fisher, because Raulo Gutierrez strained his hamstring and will be out until October 1.

    Not a good sim.

"Disruption sim". Happens after a major trade is made.

                    Death Valley (75-30)
                    Last Week: 5-2
                    3-1 at PHI
                    2-1 at BAT

                    The Good:

*Scary road trip has us going 5-2 with a rain delay loss and a one run loss. We push our lead on WAS back to 17, but WC gains a game. They're creeping in the rear view mirror.

*Danny Salcedo had a big week with 3 bombs, 10 RBIs and 8 runs scored.

*Nice homecoming for Tex Watts. He homers, drives in 8, scores 10 and walks 8 times this week.

*Tommy Poe gets another W in unspectacular fashion and Manhos throws a CG giving up just 1 ER on 3 hits.

*Tony Wences was the man this week and starting him twice really paid off. He gets 2 wins goes 12 innings and gives up just 3 runs.

                    The Bad:

*We blow 2 saves in the same game and Zack Amaral is just average while Torres is still out this week.

*We haven't gotten much from Herrera, Santoya, Marlin or some of our other key parts lately.

                    Coming Up:
                    3 vs MOR
                    3 vs WAS

Extending our lead on WAS was big this week with them coming to town. Overall, I'm happy to get out of July in first in the IL 45 games over .500. Who wouldn't be? July was an ugly month going 15-11. We are lucky to be holding on.

Seriously. We go 1-5 and somehow still have one more win than you. The hell, man.

5-2. Split 4 with Maine, and swept Hartford. We have played surprisingly well against the DL powers this year, aside from Syracuse.
