A veritable toddler to the Domestic League, Frank Caballero just sewed up the Rookie of the Month trophy for May.

Over the past month the 24-year-old first baseman for Hartford hit .189 with 18 hits, 5 home runs and 12 runs batted in. He also logged 11 walks and compiled a .284 on-base percentage.

This season Caballero has 9 home runs and a .229 batting average.

A 5-2 week for the Brawlers including a 4 game sweep of California and a 20 inning loss to Baltimore. Gets us back to .500 for the season as some of the youngsters are looking like they are starting to get it.

3-3 week. Took one game of three at Pittsburgh, then two of three at home against Hartford.

River Ross is hurt, but fortunately we have lots of arms.

We've gotten virtually nothing this year from two of our highest paid players Jerry Brown and Migdonio Manhos. Hoping that changes soon.

The Good:

*Our win streak hits 18 straight, giving us a 21-6 record for May and a 5-0 start to June.

*Colin Reed and Dave Santoyo power us through the road trip going 15-for-44, hitting 5 homeruns and driving in 18 runs combined.

*Colin Cash continues to rake, with a .467/.556/.800 line.

*Brendan Lindsey looks like he's rounding into the top rotation type starter my scout has always said he would be. He's gone 3-0 in his last 4 starts with a miniscule 0.75 ERA. He's improved to 7-2 and lowered his ERA to a starter leading 2.93.

*The crew of Amaral, Wences and Torres throw 21 innings, giving up just 5 ERs and collect 3 wins.

The Bad:

*High priced spark plug Danny Herrera has been in a funk lately. He's hitting under .100 recently, and could get a rest this week. We'll take a look at TJ DiMaggio as a starter in his last 2 weeks before Tex Watts comes back into the line-up in a return from his injury.

*Perales, Reynolds, and Marlin all bat under .200 this week and we're lucky our balanced line-up is paying off.

Coming Up:
3 at LA Dinos
3 vs New Orleans

The division leading Dukes come to town with us set to face Alex Martinez and Dave Crudge. Not exactly who you want to get, even at home.

Our quest for another starting pitcher has appeared to have stalled, so we could look to Robby English very shortly. We've been patient, pushing his debut back practically every sim. However, I've always preferred a 6 man rotation. Without us able to get a big arm, we'll have to rely on him to be the #6 starter we need with the upside of him coming in with no pressure to do anything but be a 4.00 ERA type guy as a rookie.

I think the OOTP gods are making up for your old team being screwed by strange rating fluctuations.

Pawtucket 3-3. -3 pty record. Pretty sure that 5-12 record in one run games has something to do with that. Hoping the Boyce injury isn't major. Overall, nice May though. Started 6 back and halved the lead by month end.

Can we just get to August already?
