    Death Valley (26-6)
    Spoiler

    The Good:

*Welcome to Vegas, Tex Watts. Watts goes .292/.414/.542 in his debut with 2 HRs 6 RBIs and 4 R.

*Colin Reed, moved out of the top spot in the order, wakes up going 8-for-23 with 5 RBIs.

*Colin Cash, Pat Marlin and Dave Santoya combine for 32 hits over both series.

*Closer Edgar Fajardo throws 3 perfect innings to pick up 3 saves for the week.

    The Bad:

*Looks like Dave Porter is going to take a dip back in the baby pool this next sim. We're going to convert him back to CL and let him get some experience there in AAA.

    The Ugly:

*Nothing to see here. We're 26-6 and have somehow (luck?) managed to open a 9.5 game lead on the ever dangerous (and slow starting) Bats.

    Coming Up:
    3 vs Denver
    3 @ Windy City

We try not to trip up against Denver and then see what we're made of against the best team in the league in Chicago.

Swept the Bats, and let one slip away while being swept by Death Valley. Can't really complain about a 3-3 week against those two teams. Vleugel had another solid outing. Offense sucked, as did the pen. Need some arms and Turcotte (who just had his second setback) to get healthy.

holy shit, stop winning Tobs. Dumbasses can't even do that right.

We've already won as many games in May as we did in April.

Helps when Marshburn-Ramirez-Duarte rip the cover off the ball.

              4-2.

Got to beat up on Philly for two victories then won a tough series in California. Goto has slowed down but everybody else seems to be contributing to pick up the slack. Our bullpen is really keeping us in games late and allowing us to finish off a win.

                4-2.

Brought the broom with us to LA. Probably should have won 2 in NO but we don't have a reliable closer.

Dave Crews and Dave Willis really tried to show they belong in the BLB with really good weeks. Luckily for us and the rest of the IL, it looks like Washington and California have decided to keep the wildcard interesting. Just gotta hang around until Hamilton makes it back and see what kind of boost he can give us.

We appreciate it. Seeing Jimmy update that trade block is a thing of beauty.

Do you know what's worse than an 0-fer week? Two in a row.

                    15 straight losses.

4-2 and pulled even with Washington for the Wild Card. Goes without saying that Fujii makes a world of difference to the offense.

Here comes hell week. Finishing off inter-league play with one of the DL's best followed by a stint against the best team in baseball. We'll be happy to split the whole thing.
