The Good:

*A 5-1 sim has us off to a a very surprising start. 5 wins this sim by just 7 runs, has shown us the value of having a solid bullpen.

*Travis Hoffman doesn't get a decision in his 2 starts, but throws 13 innings and gives up just 3 ER to lower his ERA to 1.63.

*Brendan Lindsey, Tony Wences, and Alex Torres combine in 3 starts to go 22 innings and give up just 2 earned runs.

*The revamped bullpen, led by young lefty closer Edgar Fajardo, give up just 1 earned running in 14 innings.

*1B Danny Salcedo carries the offensive load this week, going 7-for-18 with 2 homers and 7 RBIs for a .389/.476/.778 week. He hits a 10th inning walk off homer to beat Wilmington in game 1, 4-2.

*Robby English lowers his AAA ERA to just 0.98 and posts a 0.76 WHIP in 3 starts.

The Bad:

*Perales, Herrera, Santoyo and Marlin all bat under .200 this week. They combine for just 3 RBIs and 15 strikeouts.

The Ugly:

*Old man and likely HOFer Helespontico Jarava goes 0-for-16.

Coming Up:

Good to get back in the win column. Getting Fujii back will help. Shocked we swept Windy City... especially after all the troubles we had with them last year.

We're doing our typical April struggling. Already -2 PYT and losing one run games. Things will even out over time like always. Good to see the offense taking that next step like we hoped. Victor Robles has joined JJ Caplan in the top 100 list. We were happy to extend him this sim. So far our thoughts on Liam Ingle seem to be on as he's been really tearing it up and taking his game to the next level. Hope he keeps it up.

JJ comes back this week as we move back into a little divisional play then our first taste of interleague as Hartford comes to town.

Feel alright about an 11-7 record, with majority of our games on the road...until you look at the Stout standings and Death Valley is sitting atop at 17-2. I have a lot of games to make it back up, but if Death Valley has another few good weeks, I could be playing for the Wild Card by June.

I don't know. You have financial flexibility and a system full of talent.

My team is old, over budget and the system is the worst it has been in years. I don't even have draft picks (one 3rd in the first five rounds) to make deadline deals if needed.

I'm one or two big injuries away from you running away with it.
