Very happy to have locked up several core players to long term deals. Just a few guys left and we should be set through the decade. Now if we could actually win something that would be great.

Excited about a few young guys that will be coming up this year and hopefully sticking. The youth movement isn't quite over yet.

I think we will end up losing nobody to the Rule 5. Wild guess.

I see at least 3 guys in Rule V with real BLB potential. Probably about 3 other borderline guys.

          List sent.

Ah, cool. Clearly, I am a little out of the loop and have little idea what's going on.

Here I was patting myself on the back for signing Quinn and young kids and then I see THAT! Not to pick on Plastic, but as an example Ted Dickerson who at 31 never finished a season above .500 and a career ERA over 4 just signed for 13ml for 4 years.

Sorry boys, but free agency might be a little boring in the future. Well done Jistic!
After reading on the OOTP boards there are "ways" you can save millions a year by negotiating before or just as they enter arbitration. It's basically the end of FA for good players in their prime and I suggest everyone do it with their young stars. Look for some extensions in Batavia this week.

Yeah. Didn't use to be this way. Actually seemed easier in OOTP 12 also. Pawtucket has always avoided arbitration. Its silly and stupid.

Like I said, free agency might get very boring.

Still, lets you keep homegrown players and can always plug in a nice vet to push you over the top.(for a hefty price)

This was a staple in the older versions of OOTP.

Have we really ever had many great free agents in their prime anyway?

I've also felt that our league is more like the NFL.

Agreed. Most of the team building is draft/trades.

One of the things I love best about OOTP 14 which is the way MLB is turning as well.

It does kill free agency a bit, but there will always be players that can add to a team.

Don't forget to get those scouting budgets set.

You now have until ST to set scouting/player devel I believe.
