4-2, VERY good week as we win both series against Cali and Batavia. Statistically one game out of the wildcard (despite the fact that we have more wins than Batavia), the boys are heating up.

Torres throws his league leading, 3rd shutout, while potential free agent, Derek Vleugel was one just hit away from his own no-hitter in the 9th (curse you Danny Trujillo). Barrios pops back up on the Top Players List following consecutive +.400 weeks, and former Miami Hurrican star infielder, Dewitt Dunlap proves there's still something left in the tank.

Big Al has one more week to heal and will probably spend the full two weeks rehabbing, and is therefore scheduled for a return immediately following the All-Star break. Katsura is still AT LEAST one month away and in typical Bulldog fashion, #34 Top Prospect, (SP) Todd Taylor will be promoted this week following a minor injury to (MR) Jerry Evans who has complained about shoulder soreness.

Taylor is slated to make his first big league start Saturday or Sunday against the Bats.

This team confuses me.

Anyway, Tamieke threw 10.1 innings in a no decision. Kinda scary to see my manager let my young starter go deep into the game. We ended up losing anyway.

I DFAed Harrison and gave the starting catching job to Porter. He responded with three home runs over the week. That's awesome.

Ledbetter took a beating in one of his two starts, but still went 2-0. We're happy there.

We claimed Victor Garcia to be our short stop. It's been 5 years, but he's back home. He hit .308 over the week.

Danny Gutierrez somehow keeps hitting since being promoted from AAA. He's 35. Doesn't matter.

Marshburn and Ramirez have been worth the money in my opinion. Hoping Duarte can keep it up when he returns from injury. Very happy with those signings thus far.

I'm just baffled at how bad my pitching is. Sadly I thought I put together a decent rotation but I guess not. With the Killer B's in AAA I guess I have to wait a few more years for them, Diego, and Danny to grow up.
