    - Obviously check the draft. There was an issue with the draft import and I had to restore the game from my back-up, which really sucks. I currently have the backup to the day of the draft so if anything is amiss I will restore it again and enter it by hand (or make Brad do it).

4-2. Increased our lead in first place ever so slightly. Doug Rich will make his debut this week and will hopefully give us a boost to our pitching. We're still tearing the cover off the ball with Goto/Bennerman being a nice 2-3 punch.

Yay to the draft. We will continue to lose and just keep watching Verba progress.

The draft moved us into 10th in Systems. Nice jump for us.

With Gentner and Mueller doing well, and Tamieke making the most of his rookie campaign (now 7-2, 3.75 ERA, 1.40 WHIP), it was time to promote the next rookie pitcher we've been grooming in the minors.

Vinny Ledbetter has pitched well. He beat Carolina and then threw 8 innings of one run ball against the very good Windy City Playboys. Ledbetter struggled in AAA last year, but took that experience and turned it around this year.

We also promoted Daywalt but he's not there yet. He will be going back to AAA now that Jon Robinson is back from injury.

Baltimore has finally made it above .500 and just 1 game behind the wildcard leader. Barrios is starting to heat up like he did last year in the 2nd half of the season. Rookie (SP) Rueben Mendoza is now 5-1 with a 2.55 ERA and is making feelings of missing Jacopino non-existent. Picked up former Bulldog draft pick, Jerry Evans (MR) of waivers who has yet to give up a run in 19+ innings in B'More.

Al Hamilton comes back in 2 weeks (well probably a little longer after a short rehab stint) and Katsura will likely be back for a potential late season run. Just hold on guys.

Coma at #1 and Pulido at #73. Not bad for first two picks before trading out of this draft.

Totally forgot to look at it.

Alvarez still way up there. My first round pick Dave Dunham at 23rd overall debuts at #99.

20 kids made the top 100. Coma being first didn't surprise.

Lee took only a small nudge from 11-14 and thats really only cuz he's struggling at the AAA level.

Don't know the draft history, but usually 25-30 is a solid draft class. Think this one fell a bit short.

I called it earlier. Not a horrible class, just a bit thin with top tier talent.
