We are terrible, just terrible. We went from the strongest bullpen in baseball to the worst and not sure how. Our relief pitchers have 8 losses and just constantly blow game after game.

Somehow, after blowing games against two teams with bad records like us, we cleaned up in Indianapolis (this is like winning 2 of 3 in Washington - still dumbfounded by that) and then taking 2 of 3 at home against Dallas.

So a 5-1 sim just after going 0-6 and 1-5. I guess the good thing is we have these kinds of sims in us. I can't remember the last time we had a 4-2 and 5-1 sim in the same season.

In his first start since 2001, Washington Bats reliever C.J. Skinner flourished against Death Valley: 8 IP, 7 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 5 K in a 2-0 win. I've always had a feeling he could be a useful starter (good as a RP, lower stamina but four plus pitches. The CPU gave him a start because of injury back in 2001 but I thought he'd be more useful in the pen. With the version change to OOTP14, he is now a suggested role of starter and my scout says he is "Top-of-rotation material."

2-4. Our offense just no punch this year.

On the bright side rookie hurler, Rueben Mendoza pitched an 8 inning, 2 hit gem against Cali. Did it all with only 87 pitches.

5-1 without JJ Caplan all week. We'll take it. Thankfully he's only out a month. Fortunately we have Victor Robles who will fill in nicely.

Liam Ingle is finding his stroke as he's up to 10 HR's already. Not bad for a middle infielder. Always projected as a low .avg high HR/RBI guy he's starting to fulfill his promise.

Finally against Carolina we go back to back to back shutouts. Really hitting on all cylinders now even without our best weapon. This is why we stock piled hitters in the draft all those years.

Obviously, being facetious there. He's not a natural born US Citizen, so the Presidency isn't a possibility (plus he's too young). I should have said Victor Alvarez for El Presidente de Venezuela!
