He's a nice player as long as you don't ask him to run or field.

      2. The value continues through the next four picks. There are seven players that I would love to have in this draft and odds are all go in the first 10 selections. There is always a chance they fall, but I'm not counting for any of these to be there at 1.19.

      3. This is where it gets cloudy. On my board #8-#20 is roughly the same. Probably won't even bother sorting them until the draft gets started.

      4. I'm finding more "sleepers" in this draft than years prior. Probably a version change. I also see a lot more guys that look like "busts." Maybe its just me.

I enjoy Dave's view of the draft since its always a "rosy picture".

I'll make sure to let Browning, Williamson, Cook, Gray, Sinclair, Hautbourg, Soto, Gerard and Mueller know that we blow first round picks.

Cook and Gray already know that...as does Danny Hernandez.

            Some nice pitchers there.

If Mueller can ever get that control issue straightened out might make the list someday.

Oh so injuries mean I blew it.

And Danny Hernandez. Whomp. Sorry, we can't all be Cy Pryor. Really, you're gonna use one player to make a point?

Kinda pathetic, Pat, and that's saying a lot.

                I wasn't trying to make a point. I was making a joke.

Everybody has missed on a 1st rounder in the BLB. It happens. Like you mentioned, sometimes you take Cy Pryor with the last pick in the 1st round and he only has one good BLB season. Sometimes you take Danny Hernandez with a top five pick and he never makes it out of the minors.

And I was obviously taking your joke and calling out how ridiculous it was.

Just because it's a joke doesn't mean it has legs to stand as one. It's only attempting to be a joke because my team has been absolute crap over the last couple years and that was done purposely - you know with trading away every valuable piece I had during a time when trying to win was merely a pipe dream for anyone competing with Clay. Something you don't seem to get or want to remember. Don't know which one.

And you can call this me being sensitive, and fuck I care, but I think it's more about a guy who thinks I give a shit about some rings in a sim league. Learn to take this stuff in stride like a Delandis or even a Dave who seems to know how to make talking about having championships into a fun experience.

Just take for instance your attempt to make it seem like you weren't trying to be a dick with that piece of shit explanation I just quoted. You don't think I can read between that shot of yours?

edit: LOL and you edit your post to try to make it even more clear how dickish it was. Thanks, man. Continue being proud of that imaginary big dick of yours.

                      3-3, 20-11 overall

                      (1-2 vs. NO)
                      (2-1 vs. Tor)

                      - Our 2nd straight .500 week but we forget it was inter-league which probably didn't matter but we'll pretend it did.

                      - Travis Wyatt and Bill Hardwick are the 1st Batavia players to be featured in the Top Players list since I can remember. They are both 'hot' right now with Wyatt winning POTW so I'm not sure if that will change things when they cool down. Our scout believes Wyatt is a beast, especially against RHP. The kid showed potential last season and he's getting better.

                      - Apparently DVS brought up all their youngsters as we move back to #1 in prospects. Rebuilding since '98 really helps. We also got lucky with the draft of '99 when we got Gonzalez, Burton, Magana, Duvall, Rivera, and Farq. We traded Duvall for Wyatt and five of the six (counting Wyatt) are currently playing in the BLB with Burton being a future top SP.

                      - Speaking of Burton it might be time to bring him up and say goodbye to Leo Garcia. Acquired off waivers in '00 he's gone 14-8, 10-12, and 16-9 with little help. This year he's 0-3 with a 6.84 ERA.

                      - OF Doug Gills, who was acquired last year in a trade, is a bum, was a bum, and will always be a bum. One, he played for Virginia. Two, he hasn't hit the ball well in 3 years. Why I thought he'd play well for us and picked up his contract I'm not sure. There went $7m down the toilet.

                      - Didn't get to say it a few weeks ago but with Dave Willis going back to DV that makes the '98 trade that Virginia always touted as "extremely fair" a complete bust. Bayer and Jarava for Willis (DVS), Alvarado (Bat-AAA), and Hoffman (Bat-AAA). None of those prospects amounted to anything and the only good out of that was getting a 1st and picking Duvall 1.23 in the '99 draft. Win some, lose some.

                      - This week we play 3 just down the road at New York, then travel a little south to play 4 at Baltimore. We swept Baltimore to open the season but this team has owned us the last few years, including one season where we went something along the lines of 1-17 against them. Time to see if the youngsters are ready to play with the big boys yet on the road.

Our pitching it way over it's head. Four starters now in the top players list?

On the flip side JJ Caplan is now a singles hitter.

                                Everything's weird right now.
