Draft Date / Tentative Schedule

I wanted to look ahead to give people an idea of what night the draft would be.

This is the tentative upcoming sim schedule:

Thu 6/22 : 4/14-4/23
Sun 6/25 : 4/24-4/30
Tue 6/27 : 5/1-5/7
Thu 6/29 : 5/8-5/14 (DRAFT POOL POSTED)
Sun 7/2 : NO SIM
Tue 7/4 : 5/15-5/21
Thu 7/6 : 5/22-5/28
Sun 7/9 : 5/29-6/4
Tue 7/11 : 6/5-6/11 (AMATEUR DRAFT DAY)

The draft will be held online, in the league chatroom starting at 9pm ET. Owners who aren't present can submit a prioritized list of players via pm or email. Owners who aren't present and don't submit a list will have the CPU pick for them.

Let me know how this works for everybody. I could delay the sim on the 4th if a lot of people are going to be away, but I'd rather not skip two sims and I can't do it on the 2nd.

It's not a big deal if people miss a few sims so I wouldn't worry about it. As long as the draft is convenient for those who want to do it live, I'm happy,

I can't wait to see the draft class. This could be the highlight of my season.

10 rounds. The first 5 rounds will be online and the next 5 will be either online or CPU simmed. I'm willing to do all 10 rounds online if people are still picking and it doesn't take too much time to get through the first 5.

People who can't make the online draft can send in a priority list of their players. Since we don't have any draft software like a fantasy league, I suggest people print out the list of available players and cross them off as they're selected.

The available players list should be available after Thursday's sim.

Yeah I have a feeling there won't be anyone around after round 5. Hell in my single player leagues I ususally only draft my top 5. After that it's a crap shoot.

Yah, pretty much. All the players after the first couple rounds are the same, ie scrubs. Hopefully in future versions they enable more changes in a players talent ratings, so we see more quality players come out of the later rounds and more busts in the early rounds.

I've seen early round busts, but if they ARE superstars, they're usually 1st or 2nd rounders.

I have a league that's in it's tenth year. And yeah most of the studs are early round. I have seem some gems though. But after that it's just a bunch of MR's that are 4's across the board.
