That's funny because the Red Sox and Yankees never have any trouble getting international free agents.

I'll get another fucking pitcher. Wences can go fuck himself and lose 20 games in 120 degree summers in Death Valley.

I'm pissed off because the system sucks, not because I lost out on one guy.

Hmm. Current Maine=Red Sox or Yankees? No offense Z, but that's a bit of a stretch there.

I'm guessing you don't like summers in LV?

I hate Vegas summers. It's one of the reasons I'm moving ASAP.

Maybe he was afraid to sign to a team that has been to the playoffs twice in the past 10 years. Combined with signing to a division that has 100+ win team in Pawtucket, one of the best young teams (Pittsburgh) and a former 6-Time Brewmaster's champion in Andrew.

And so it makes more sense to sign for less money with a 114 loss team?

                    Come on.

I'm just fucking with you man.

I mean, shit, I made an offer, about 25% lower than his asking price. Why wouldn't he want to play for me? I just won two titles back to back. I have a pitchers park and stellar defense. And no pitcher ever struggles for Washington. Apparently, $1.25M per years wasn't enough for him to play for the best option.

Maybe that's why he signed with DVS? To stick it to Washington? You can blame me for it if you want.

Very happy to get Lugo. Not a huge get by any means, but as Pat stated, he's a reliable defender with a left handed bat. We are 4-5 seasons away in my eyes, so we are not going to spend big on anyone, especially with not much in the farm to work with. I'm hoping for a deep draft. I believe we have two picks in each of the first four rounds.

Denver didn't help the situation by giving out TWO 20M contracts, though!!

I like how you have two guys who are each making more than the rest of your team combined. I think it's fun.
