Rule 5 Information
I've conferred with Andrew and Brad and starting this year we will have a "Rule 5 Oops" thread. Each team will be able to post up to 3 players to move to the 40 man roster that were accidentally left off before we run the sim. If the 40 man roster is full then you will also have to post up to 3 players to DFA. We will then make those changes the day of the draft before the sim is run as a sort of last minute "export". I've tested this and it works fine as the Rule 5 draftees update accordingly.
Due to the sim running the entire month of December I will extend the DFA period so you won't be able to sneak anyone by as teams will still get to file a claim for them on Jan 1st for FA1.
You will submit a list to whoever is running the sim as usual, but if you see a player in the "Oops" thread then just be aware he won't be available in game.
I'm tired of the Rule 5 causing issues and since we decided to keep it in game this is the easiest fix. This is a game, for the most part we are all friends, and I'm tired of stress and issues arising every off-season. This does nothing to benefit any team, it just gets rid of the problem of real life and forgetfulness sometimes impacting the escape world the BLB has become.
We will run this for 2004 and if it goes smoothly and there are no major issues it will continue. And no if you've lost a player in the past you can't get him back.
