You have the top prospects list for each team +your scout still gives scouting reports on every active player in the universe.

Literally. But to each their own. I can see how it could have been useful. Sounds like OOTP is just cutting out the more obvious tells though.

Agreed. Sometimes I just used the back part of the depth chart for throw in of a deal. I look at basically every player in the league at some pt anyway. Makes for more research I guess.

The verbage part of the development report is wild. Cool stuff. Again, just takes getting use to.

Also love that the scouting / player development is wide open right now. Thought it was silly to hold cash hostage during the free agency period. It's the teams money and all resources should be available. Nice fix!

Explain? Will we have more teams in the red like this?

Good example would be you have 20ml in development. Well, before you couldn't adjust until spring training and you basically had to wait til free agency 4 to have access it to free up that money to use on players. By that time normally the best players were gone.

Today you can adjust accordingly if there is someone you want out there and need to use some of that development money to sign players. Think Pitt had a few seasons his money was sitting on the sidelines. For those with low scouting and development budgets it really doesn't matter much.

Guess I'm saying this could be a good thing.

I see. That will be helpful once a few of these contracts fall off for us.

I can't believe Doug Miles retired. These last few injuries really derailed him, but I really thought he'd stick around through his last guaranteed year.

His retirement party is scheduled in Baltimore.

Phil McSwain and Loren Washington also hung 'em up. The Bats thank them for their service.

I always liked Loren Washington. I'm surprised he never put on a Philly uni. I know I bid on him several times in FA over the years.

                          End of an era...

The Bats 1st round choices in 1990, 1991 and 1992, RP Don Bolton, RP/SP Edgar Salazar and SS Shawn Nolan were all released today. Washington is going younger and cheaper.

While the city of Toronto celebrates the arrival of their new ball team, there will be one player not making the trek up north. Eron Deleon is officially public enemy number 1 in Toronto.

Eron Deleon has declined his player option and is electing to become a free agent. According to a source close to the team, the main reason is because Deleon does not want to move his family to Canada. His asking price to relocate to a new country appears to be too steep to complete a deal.
