Injuries always suck. Late season injuries for playoff teams really suck. Hopefully Caplan comes back in time to help you some and Neal gets a decent diagnosis. I fear you may have doomed him when you locked him into that contract.

All Porter teams will finish well above .500. We've had a good season, but have just been completely outclassed by you and CAL. Both of you boys should be battle tested for the playoffs . . . which means 1st rd exits. Sorry.

              Oh there will be rueing...

Neal I'm not too worried about. The rebirth of Damien Williams gives us a nice replacement. At 28 he's finally flashing the ability that once had him listed as a top prospect.

We're more concerned with JJ. Hopefully he can come back in time to make a difference.

Either way we're happy with our first division title in years and first playoff appearance in 10. Also broke the 3 mil mark in attendance. Big Jon has been on an absolute tear as well. It looks like his injury time will keep him away from winning his 2nd HR title in a row, but he's at least making it interesting.

                      Pawtucket 4-2. Wash, rinse, repeat.

Couple of fun things for us this final week:

SP- Tyler Gerald will get one more shot at 20 wins this week. Sitting at 19.

OF- Tyler Quinn will get about 5 games to make it to 40 homeruns. Sitting at 39. Reminder to the voters for 2003 Stout Slugger, this is a LEFTY playing in Pawtucket.

CL- Víctor Rivera goes for save 40. Honestly should be another award winner judging by all the stats we've seen, but you never know.

One game short of 100 wins. Our goal all season was 95 so anything else is a bonus.

One more week and right now we seem rather healthy. Think a league best 44-17 since Allstar break so like to finish it out strong.

I thought we'd have a decent season (89-94 wins), but nothing like this. We've gotten career years out of pretty much every offensive player on our team. But really that's what I was hoping for, especially with the eventual domination that will be named Batavia either next year (or the following). We had to put all of our eggs in the basket this year.

Same to you sir. Its been a GREAT year.

You know, it is very possible that the WC will have the best record in the IL. That's got to be a first.

                              I'm with this guy.

LA swept Dallas and got smoked by NY for 3 out of 4 games. We are just trying to hold onto 2nd place right now. The pitching continues to kill us but defensive errors are really the key to our season. Still, above .500 is a big improvement to last years record.
