Not sure what's happening out there in Cali, but we'll take it.

5-1 and the guys are just rolling now. We took a 2-game lead in the Porter and we are going to need every little bit of cushion we can get with Batavia upgrading with promotions and both Philly and Cali as good as they are.

AS A TEAM, we hit .342/.433/.859 last week and Mr. Hamilton doesn't seem too happy about missing out on the All-Star game. He is really making everyone pay dearly right now. Vleugel threw his 3rd career CG, and first since 2000. Hard to believe the kid is still only 27.

Yea. It was a pretty good week.

              Pawtucket 5-2. Good enough.

              Strange stats sometimes:

              SP Ivan Gutierrez

              Home: 9GS 3-4 / 5.09 ERA/ 31 walks/ 41 strikeouts
              Road: 12GS 4-2 / 2.10 ERA/ 23 walks/ 44 strikeouts

Weird since his stats were the opposite past few seasons.

Other then that Pawtucket welcomes backs Lucca Memmoli after a small absence. Since his departure Jon Montalbo is been on a Carmen like run, up to 24 homeruns this week!!! Quinn has some competition on the team now.

Continuing with the Ale next week. Like our play so far this month.

Pat Ladd will be out six weeks with an injury...good thing I have a future HOF in Willie Garcia waiting on the bench. Right Dave?

4-2 this week...both losses by JJ Black...only the third time all year he has given up runs. He must be getting bored.

6-1 for LA. The hitting was mediocre, but the pitchers bailed us out. I have no idea what this means in regards to the division race, but we closed the gap to 5 games.

We lost our young pitching phenom, Kelvin Diaz, for an unknown amount of time. This is our 3rd injury to a Top prospect in the last 4 sims. We are holding our breath. Sadly we lost two other key individuals in the same sim. Our chance at a AAA Championship is pretty much down the toilet.

Just saw that I lost Melgoza to a torn labrum. It's the 4 month variety so not too bad, but that probably keeps him in AAA for another half-year to a year rather than getting the promotion for next season.
