Well then take say your 124 mill budget and subtract 8 mill from it. That's your true budget!

Near end of the season start watching every team's total balance. It will start to give you a picture into the teams finances.

So it does affect your next season budget then?

It affects your next season financial situation but not the budget, meaning, like FC says, if you finish with a -10m balance, and your budget is $110, you will only have $100m to work with. Won't be able to offer FAs, extend contracts, set budgets, etc. outside of that actual $100 number.

Little note of budgets: Seems if you made the playoffs your "future" projected budget is a bit more fluid versus missed it. I noticed my 6 years of sucking my next seasons projected budget was always current seasons budget minus maybe $50k ALWAYS a bit lower. Didn't mean shit in the end since its just a projection, but it does affect some ability to extend your players.

Now I notice it varies more, even occasionally projects a bit higher. Anyone else see that happening?

Then again, back to back 60 something wins maybe it was just the owner saying FUCK OFF.

It works as a line item that gets factored into your operational $$ that you have at your disposal. If you carry over -$30mil, you have a -$30mil line item that counts against the amount you can use to offer contracts or offer extensions. It doesn't impact your budget figure directly, but works on a governor on the amount available, preventing you from offering contracts to players like Jerry Daly . . .oh wait.

Derrik Tucker is why. HOWEVER, my project balance (which yes is negative) has decreased each sim since our attendance , fan interest , ect has risen. Take into account our ticket price is ALREADY $15.25 versus $13.00 at this stage last season we should be fine. Also, my budget is increasing each season as long I make the playoffs.

Summary, we are red lining our budget at the moment. Maybe we can FINALLY get out media contract to actually rise????
