Washington Bats - 8-5 - First Place in Stout

    1-2 @ Philly
    1-2 vs. Michigan
    • Lost all four games after the 6th inning. Gotta work on that bullpen.

    The Good
    • The trio of Troy Hanback, Travis DuFour and Tom Downs continues to dominate. 6-1, under 2.00 ERA and under 1.00 WHIP.

    • Speaking of trios, Nari Garin, Mal Brady and Pat Ladd are all on fire. 13 HRs, 28 RBI.

    The Bad
    • The bullpen is in deep trouble. If you have a legit RP option, give me a call.

    The Ugly
    • 12th in the IL in bullpen ERA two weeks in a row.

    The Farm
    • I think I'm going to do seven-day lineups for my minors this year. Dedication.

    The Week Ahead
    • Stout week! Three vs. Morgantown, three vs. Death Valley. I'll say 1-2 vs. Mohawks, 3-0 vs. the old Virginia.

6-0 and great job by the Bulldogs this week. Our offense is scary good through two weeks of play and our pitching isn't too far behind with Katsura giving up just 1 ER through his first 3 starts.

            Loving the fast start.

              I'm banking on a collapse.

3-4 for Davenport. Two of those losses were in extra innings and one was a blown save where my reliever gives up 3 runs in the 9th so somehow I feel better about this team then my normal "chug a bottle of Pepto" nauseous feeling.

We won some, we lost some. Pete Lawson got hurt. Clint Johnston is a Scorpion. Rule 5er DJ Bright doesn't make it out of the 1st inning again and sports an ERA in the mid 30's. That could be good. Or bad. SP Ivan Martinez is very good right now. You should trade for him. My bullpen could help you. So could C Johnny Davis and OF Alex Cabrera. Come end their death sentence in Death Valley.

Hahaha! I told everyone he was going to have a good year! Nobody wanted him. He was a solid starter before Carolinas defense got bad. Also, the IL crushes pitchers like him. A couple of tweeks to his player strategy and here we are. Saved my ass because Ocampo completely died. Team options can be life savers.
