    BLB Glossary

    incest trade - trading picks or prospects within your own division. This practice is frowned upon by every division in the BLB except the Ale division, where it is a widely accepted practice. I don't want that guy, incest trade him to Funclown. He'll take him.

    Clay'd - the phenomenon of getting screwed over by OOTP. This can be both an expected and unexpected event. MAP was possibly the best prospect in the BLB ever to get Clay'd.

        pull a Pat - the practice of signing a free agent to a two or three year contract with the last year being a Team Option at 3 to 4 times the first year's value with no intention of ever picking it up. I thought Jistic pulled a Pat with that Joe Rojas contract, but he actually paid him.

            1. The signing (or attempted signing) of all available FAs and keeping them in a perpetual DFA state. Also known as hoarding.

                UMD,

                We need a term where certain teams keep a min 8-15 players on DFA at all times. Sort of like hostages. Any ideas?
