Since then, I've lost three seven-game series.

I've been an active owner every year except 1987, and '84 is the only year I've won a playoff series.

    I suck.
    You're awful.

And much like the hype of the Denver Bulls turned into forgotten lore, so shall this book.

It's kind of dusty in there. It stopped getting spruced up after Dave's first go around.

What's sad is that I'm usually pretty good.

Excluding the first five years of the league when I was stuck with the worst inaugural draft, and my first three years after inheriting a terrible Pittsburgh team, I've finished over .500 in 13 out of 14 seasons, with seven 90+ win years.

Good . . . just not good enough.

I hate this game, and I hate most of you all. But I do love rebuilding.

Don't be like that. Keatts loves you most of all. Well, after his own wife. Oh and drugs. So third of all. You're his third favorite thing.

It's fun for right now - unless it doesn't work and you're stuck in a losing cycle for many years. Hartford pretty much sucked when I got them, but they had Durham, Lindsey and Godron to work with. Virginia's system isn't bare, but at the same time I don't know what the fuck Clay did in there and if these guys are empty uniforms or real players.

I've always drafted pretty well - at least I think so. And, I got a crash course in trying to stay above water (with trades/signings) as all my players got hurt or Clay'd over the years I was at the top of the DL. It'll be a test for sure.

We'll see how long this takes. Winning 108 games with a now gutted roster kind of sucks, but hopefully I can flip some BLB players for prospects and picks in the short term. Playing against Pat in the division doesn't help - I think this is another 5-7 year deal. I don't even think I'm competitive for the next 3 years. If I am before, it's dumb luck or because a bunch of these trash heap type guys I'll have to sign play way above their heads.

                  Should be interesting.
