  • 2002 Award Voting & Pimp

Out of respect for your fellow owners, feel free to give it a day or two to give people a chance to PIMP if they want to. If you're set on your ballot, carry on...

    http://www.simgamingnetwork.com/blb/...eos_ballot.php

    - Voting is mandatory
    - Vote in ALL Categories!!
    - Voting begins immediately and will last until the last SIM of the playoffs or final ballot is received.
    - Teams who don't submit a fair ballot may have their votes invalidated. (ie leaving a rival player off the ballot so your guy wins, etc)
    - Voting will be done in the utility using the link above.

NOTE: FireFox does occasionally experience issues with the voting utility.

Clay for GM of the year.

SP Tom Downs led the IL in ERA, WHIP and VORP. He deserves the IL Pale Ale.

OF Pat Ladd led IL rookies in OPS. He played in just 105 games but still was on the leader board for HR, RBI, R, BB, XBH and 2nd in WAR. He also was a stud defensively and hit in the middle of the lineup of a playoff team.

RP Clarence Ortiz lost his full time closing job to JJ Black mid-season but still had a phenomenal season. Tied for 2nd in WAR, 3rd in IP, 1st in BB/9, T-2nd in W, 7th in ERA, 7th in SV, 3rd in K/9. Deserves consideration for Last Call Relief.

Pat for GM of the year.

Lol, its always that easy for me.

Loved Brad staying on course and finally winning it.

Letter Z did miracles with Maine this season.

I'll look at the players later but pretty sure 'Wildfire' is a nobrainer for Pale Ale in the DL.

                      Admission coming:

Sometimes I DIDN'T vote for Clays players for awards and NEVER for GM of year.

                      Wheww, there I said it.

Thanks. I didn't put a good enough team on the field though.

Phenominal bullpen, great defense, luck. Probably not in that order.

                              Hard to argue.

Except that Hernandez had almost 2x as many strikeouts in less IP.

                              And had a higher WAR.

If those things actually mean anything.
