Ok it's not all bad. I see Pete Dunlap finally resigned! I thought I was going to lose him to FA. I almost traded him to Washington because I couldn't resign him and my projected '03 budget inexplicably went from 125M to 88M in the middle of the year. Of course he only hit .100 for the week after cashing in...
Also Chad Madan hits for the cycle against rival New York. A great pickup for La, he's batted .291/.328/.472 since being brought up from AAA where he was solid.
BTW- sorry Pat, I was out of it and completely missed the deadline.
Weird not seeing the usual names in the top players list. Also, didn't realize Gus Jenkins got sent into early retirement as well- I tried trading for that guy a while ago, really liked him.
Well a 3-4 sim for us, which is cause for celebration in Davenport these days. Pleased at the way that Caceda and Stroop are playing in their September call ups. Experimenting with moving Oka to 2B to make room for Caceda to stay with the big club next season. Got to find some ways to get some runs next season as I can't feel too bad with three starters with sub 4.00 ERA's but with terrible records. Gotta think with some more runs those records can be turned around.
Now let's see... who do we want to see in the postseason?
