Hey Clay, thanks for letting me borrow your broom. It's been a while and I looked in the Bock closet but it was empty. Appreciate it!

Starting to blow some games in the 9th which is a bit distrurbing.
Simmons is finally back. Lets see if we can build some momentum here at the end. 90's Pawtucket was start slow, finish with a flurry. This version seems to be the opposite.
Maybe thats a good thing?

Also, count me in on the two-pitch starter train. I've seen rookie, Dave Shell put in work late in the season. I always thought he had the quality to be a starter, but I thought he would need that 3rd pitch.

The ironic part is that the Bats brought the broom with them. The dirty hippies thought they were pulling something by swiping it from us, but I hope they've learned their lesson.
We fell a game back into 2nd place this week, but actually feel pretty good about the results. It feels like a chance to catch our breath. The season basically comes down to the next two weeks. 6 against WC and DAV next week, then 3 with WAS before a 4 game tussle with CAL the following week.

This Clay-cation is going to kill me.
You'll rue the day!

I'm going to keep warning you bums. OOTP is on that shit right now. It's cleaning up. It's doing lines in the bathroom faster than Miley Cyrus can take her clothes off. Denver is 7-7 this month and not looking like it's going to slow down much. Why, you ask? Because OOTP is...say it with me now: stupid.
4-3. We split with Jake and his team quickly decided the rest of the season wasn't even worth it dropping 2 of 3 to Jason Sudeikas and Jennifer Aniston . That roster is demoralized. Most of the players have decided to take up classes in DeVry for plumbing with Pepe's Mexican cousin Pedro.
Speaking of Pepe "Le Pew" Rodriguez, he did hit a home run, and the announcer nearly bore himself to sleep calling it.
Here's evidence...
The fans haven't celebrated that much in upstate New York since a team moved into town and named themselves after the citizen accepted routine morning feeling of apprehension.
We do want to thank the Slammers for waking up the corpse that was Rex Knight en route to a DL Player of the Week Award. It wasn't unusual watching something dead barely comeback to life in Syracuse, but it was nice seeing it happen to someone in Denver where things usually just go to die period.
Also, in grand OOTP fashion, Tommy Potter finally picked up his first win of the season against those same Syracuse assholes. It wasn't his best performance, but then again, the Slammers were vacationing.
ALERT ALERT ALERT
Jimmy is on the line right this moment with Philadelphia fans asking how to tie a knot around a rope.
Hey, before you take your life or give up your team, remember that Syracuse takes Mondays through Wednesdays off in September to do God knows what.
It wasn't that bad. You beat up on a rookie reliever to salvage the series and win at least one game. JR Travis took it easy on you guys by only picking up one hit in each game against his former team, but that's the past, right? Right?
The first of our prized pitchers - prized as in the first time Windy City introduced us to funclown and everyone responded: "Well, he's a...prize, right?" - Jamie Benge took his first BLB start and won the game. He walked five and only struck out two, but he managed to spread five hits farther than Los Angeles can spread wins this time of the year.
Tyler B (seriously, someone come up with a nickname for this piece of shit guy) is up to .263 on the year and a .709 OPS with another solid week. He's batting .295 since taking over the leadoff spot. Coincidentally, that's Denver's winning percentage since 1993.
In all seriousness, Tony Perez now has 35 saves which is more than 60% of the team wins this year. He's now 7 saves away from tying Merlin Thompson's and Charlie Claudius's franchise record of 41. Or in other words, he's now 7 saves away from still not being better than Robert Menendez.
Yeah, LA is bad. We hit the 6th year wall. Our entire organization looked bad. This was easily the worst year of our ownership. I consider every level to have failed. We had a good mix of players, but injuries took the wind out of our sails early. May was absolutely abysmal with a 7-20 record. I tried all the tricks, turned things over to the manager, made adjustments to our pitching strategies, traded away percevied conflicts. It made no difference. I'll take my top 10 pick and make it count.
Maybe the team gets it together next year? Doubtful, as Luna showed no real progress in AAA, Robbins and "Birdbrain" will need another 1-2 years, and OF Victor Villa took a nose dive after a weird OSA rescout this year. SP Victor Vega STILL isn't ready for AAA and Diaz was good in AA but still seems like he has some things to polish up on.
None of the flair our good friend Carlos has, but effective just the same. Maybe next year he could write his way out of the bottom of the Pilsner? Be at ease, I jest.
Hats off to Finley Kinsey collecting his 2500th hit. Our scout kind of screwed us in his preseason evaluation of him, but he did well in the first half, when noone else wanted to play.
