    Dammit. Another winning week.

WTF, Carlos? You are not supposed to be THAT bad. But in all seriousness, its amazing how much of a difference maker one reliever can be to a team.

      Pawtucket 3-3.

Been treading water with the recent rash of injuries, but Ole Mens/ 'Coffin' back this week which will help our taxed bullpen. More importantly Simmons back in two weeks. Seems "top players" help out the offense a bit?

Love how the game seems to give you an identity, good or bad. For a few years now we are the blown save lose after the 8th inning team. Doesn't matter who gets put in there they are guaranteed to blow a save at the end. For every sub 2 ERA guy that goes in he comes out a 3. I can predict my box score of losing games without even looking.

On top of that our top pick and number #1 overall gets the ....wait for it...Torn Labrum! I'm ready for the ratings hit in the off season.

We're ready to pack it up and tie a bow around this season.

CAL continues to close fast. It feels like we're suffering from tightening collars a bit, but then I look and see that we played 16-11 (.593) baseball in August. Nothing wrong with a month of baseball at an almost .600 clip. CAL is just on fire right now. We'll give it everything we've got and if they pass us, they pass us. We'll just try to make it as difficult as possible.

6 more head-to-head including what could be a huge 4 game series in SIM 25. Should be a good race.

They're now 10 games over .500 for the season. They were 19-9 in August . . . .or 10 games over for 1 month. Crazy.

Hartford is falling fast with that 13 game losing streak. Really screwing up our draft position!

                    Oh, but we are.

You caught us in the OOTP bad month. Watch us play .400 or above baseball in September.

Yea I have three guys that are mashing the ball this season, in fact Adili and Gamboa will probably be fighting each other for DL Stout Slugger.

Yadir Adili- .355/.415/.676 29 HR's with 83 RBI's (and missed seven weeks and still is tied for the lead the DL in HR's)

                      David Gamboa- .325/.445/.505 20 HR's 74 RBI 85 runs and 89 BB's

                      Dave Crews- .293/.350/.515 26 HR's 88 RBI's

Unfortunately with all this hitting we are still 4.5 games out of the WC because most of our pitching is just a little to young.

Good series Pat, felt good to take that one game.
