    NEXT SIM: Tuesday

    ***

When I switched the ASG to Windy City, I forgot to turn off DH... so a few less offensive players got in. Doesn't REALLY matter as it's an exhibition... but... my bad.

    ***

Thursday is the trade deadline. Be aware.

Indy is on absolute fire. 6.5 back now as we can barely split with Denver. Dammit, Carlos.

        Pawtucket 2-2.

We seem to be pacing ourselves past two weeks which isnt a bad thing. Next up, finish up this 7 game road trip then back home versus a pesky Los Lunas team. Jordan G will be back also after this coming week. Funny to say, we miss his bat against lefty pitching.

        Minor league news:

LF Jimmy Lee tearing up single A right now up to #29 on the top 100 list. I just feel "eye" players are going to be such rare commodities going forward in this league.

SP Tom Osburn out 8-9 months with some radical nerve issue. This makes the 3rd significant pitching prospect (Tom V just fell off only a week before) who has had a major injury. Always feels like one area of my team gets hit each season.

Except for the pending diagnosis to Sakuma of course.

And what's up with Cardenas starting at catcher? He doesn't have any ratings there and has never played there. Although winning the player of the game while doing it is making me think about some options...

3rd in Hits but 6th in runs scored? Yea that's a problem.

I'm slow cooking my offense in the minors, but one of my prospects is just having a legendary season at AA. He's on pace to break the AA record for homeruns in a single season set by a Los Alamos farmhand back in 1980. He's having the best AA season since Don Alexander in 1980 as well (OPS is better than Alexander over more at bats). I should send him up to AAA but the AA team has the "core" of my future offense and I want to keep them together.

35 HR already this year and his ratings took a nice bump. He's always had + power potential but it was his ability to make contact that made me nervous. With Astimbay, Santana, and Mast this offense will be good in a few years. However, right now we still stink.

Split a 4 game series with Los Lunas. Pitching still doing its thing but aside from Rojas, nobody is hitting.

Looks like 38 is the record set in 1980. Went from 9 in A to 35 in AAA...all within one year.

                    Hmmmm....

Wow, great season. He was on my radar during the draft, but same concern contact.

I try to draft one high power hitter each season if I can. Most turn out 4-5-6-4-3 or 4-5-6-5-4 ect, bit once in awhile you get lucky.

Glad he's working out for you.

Sure Mast is killing it in Lexington but just wait till that New York market knocks him down a peg or two.

A trade where both teams win?

In two starts with the Millers, SP Curt Warren has pitched 14.2 innings and struck out 18 while walking just two.

The trio of players I got from Pittsburgh have also played well. RP Adrian Martinez, four games, four scoreless innings of relief. SP Deron Ryan got a win in Morgantown after pitching six innings and giving up two earned. And OF Shawn Burton has been called to pinch hit six times: 2H, 2BB, RBI, R for a 1.167 OPS. And the prospect acquired, IF Ron Swift has a .929 OPS through six games in the D.C. farm.
