Nice test this past week taking of two of three on the road versus Indy. Starters were still lights out. Another team we seem to set up well against.

Lost Glen 'Coffin' Harrington for 8-9 weeks, but silver lining as he's played like shit anyway (not earning his team option for 2003) so only concern is the strain on the rest of the bullpen. RP Ming-yu Mei has been SICK in AAA so far this season...32innings/ 0.28 ERA/ 0 HRs/ 16BB- 52k. Guess it wouldnt hurt to try him out?

At the midway pt and really nothing to bitch about right now. If someone told me you'll have 56 wins by allstar break I couldn't of honestly said "Sure, that was part of the plan". Best start our franchise has EVER had.

Hope for min injuries and adjust to the inevitbale "ruts" I'm sure thats bound to happen a bit more in the second half.

Any remote pipe dream we had of competing died this sim. This was the sim we had to may some hay. Coming off our our best month, and best hitting sims it seemed like maybe the kids we're starting to catch on.

Then they looked in the the mirror and realized they had a Playboys uniform on and carried on the proud tradition of not hitting out of a wet paper bag and blowing games late. I'm not saying that it's over but.....it's over.

Not to worry though, we're used to evaluating draft talent for the upcoming season in July.
