    NEXT SIM: Wednesday

    ***

Big thanks to Davenport and Maine for not trimming their rosters to 25 as requested. Please check your DFA.

    ***

I'll open All-Star Voting today. We'll want to knock that out in the next couple days... Manager's picks will be by Friday AM. DL Managers... please try to participate this season and not leave it on me.

My bad. I trimmed to 25 in the previous sim, but didn't notice the minor league FAs that got assigned to single-A this past sim.

Pawtucket 5-2. Those Dino's are a scrappy bunch.

            Wow.
            15 hits and we lose.
            We get no-hit AT HOME.
Our 4th top arm gets a major arm injury in less than a year.

Oh yea, we are in last place and 6 games out of first. Haven't had this feeling in a few years now. Do we try to wait it out or do we just press reset?

There are many reasons I'm an idiot, but that, sir, is not one of them!

And how in the heck does New Orleans get priority over me to claim a player?

                Game 2 v Davenport

Gray blows a save on an RBI single to... the Pitcher! Too many IF singles in this game.

Then we win in 11 on an inside the park Grand Slam. Stupid game.

What player? Division has an impact.

Thought it was league only? Interesting.

It was Windy City's reliever Eddie Resendez.

It's possible I didn't export though my export time is when I last opened the game to make sure I was at 25. But I check waivers last so maybe I didn't export my claim.

                    I'm not gonna stress it.

So after a dream three weeks, we go 1-6 against our own division.

                      Back to reality.

Our OF is a complete shambles due to injury.

Manny Villafane starts his pro career by hitting in 13 straight. Let's see if he can carry it another week

Second round pick Alex Otero has moved from the IF to a CL role. Scout likes him better as a pitcher. Talented boy will see if he develops

Also Lombardo has been moved to the BP , lack of a 3rd pitch and control

That's why I stopped watching the game. Too many little things that aren't baseball that plague the engine... when you just look at box scores it looks like it plays a much better game of baseball.

                          Also our pitching sucks. Badly.

The Millers are a fairly young team this year who had hoped to compete for a WC berth. Through 75 games we are 7 back of the WC but don't feel out of it because some of those young guys are finally hitting their stride.

SP Jamie Thomas (23 yrs)- In the month of June, 'Fudd' has come alive posting a 2-2 record with a 1.78 ERA and .99 WHIP in 5 starts.

SP Ian Fain (24 yrs)- Also a rookie, 'Divine' has been great the last two months and is showing signs of the Ace we hoped he would be when we drafted him 1.1 in '99. In June Fain has posted a 1.16 ERA with a 1.06 WHIP in 4 starts.

SS Alex Martinez (24 yrs)- In his rookie campaign Alex has been awfully steady posting an OPS of .712, .708 and .706. While Martinez is no Tammany as a rookie I have been very pleased with his performance as I think he still has a little ways to go in development.

1B David Gamboa (25 yrs) While not a rookie (Gamboa is in his 3rd full season in the BLB) he is finally putting it all together. While last year Gamboa was great he started this season hitting .178 with a .603 OPS. Since then though he has been on fire especially in June culminating with his crowning of batter of the month.

We obviously are not slow cooking these guys and after a couple rough months they have shown while maybe not fully developed they are good enough to help us right now.

                              Big Jon en fuego!

Just hanging in there. Had our best hitting month in years. Tom Arrington nets his 2nd rookie of the month award. JJ showing serious signs.

If we can hit, we have an outside shot.
