    NEXT SIM: Saturday

    ***

    Draft is in!

Single A Rosters are at 40 to accept new players. I'm giving you a full SIM to make your moves. When you export for MONDAY... please be at 25 at all levels!!!

Draft Notes: Two extra picks made the Sandwich Round after the deadline (BAL and NO)... I had to take undrafted players there. Feel free to keep them if you want them.

Charlie: "What is going on up here?"
    Dennis: "I never know, man."

Another 4-2 sim? I want to feel like something good is happening but I have learned to accept failure over the past number seasons.

Clearly, a 4-2 sim is nothing for a club well below .500. So we beat a couple of other under .500 clubs. No big deal. It's not like things are gonna keep improving. They can't.

    Right?

Oh, Tommy Potter wrote another chapter in his book entitled: "How to win baseball games when- wait? Did I loss again after pitching a quality start and then some AGAIN? Seriously?!"

He only threw another 7 innings giving up just two runs and is now 0-7 with a 4.19 ERA.

He's not alone. Him and Parra (he of the 3.71 ERA) are a combined 0-12 this season despite not pitching anywhere close to that awful.

The above is what you get when Tommy Keatts is your third best hitter. It's also what happens when your entire offense is reliant on the resurgence of Rex Knight.

    Yeah...

    But hey, 4-2.

      Pawtucket 2-4.

Didn't expect every week to be fun.

Hats off to Philly for handing it to us. We did bounce back against Batavia.

Home against the vaunted California offense and then go on the road to deal with Baltimore's "anti" Pawtucket staduim.

Will be tough sledding, hoping for 3-3. Anything better will be a bonus.
Top to bottom, the Porter was expected to be a handful. Can't play the Bock every interleague.

Jimmy Lee debuts at #36! Three guys dropped out sadly, but expecting two of them to bounce back by season's end.

Great week for us. 5-1 against Syracuse and Dallas.

FINALLY have a few hot players. JJ Caplan's short stint back down to AAA seemed to help. After hitting over .500 and getting player of the week he came back up and hit .385 this week.

Our best week we hit .285 as a team with a 1.70 ERA. We're still -3 PYT so hopefully we're turning it around. Only 3 back and 9-5 for the month.

"Stinger" has still not allowed a run all season and could not be more dominant. Report says he's ready for ML level, it's tough holding off as I think he could help us now.

Fernando Ortiz is hitting .458 in June in AA and making serious case for promotion to AAA. Might have to give him a shot but he's only 20. Again those INTL guys seem to progress quicker.

Finally our first pick Jimmy Frantz debuts at #26, second highest hitter in the draft. Can't be too disappointed in that.
