It amazes me how a team keeps an identity regardless of who the players are. We've completely turned over our roster the last few years yet the song remains the same. Windy City IS the one run loss team. That's just who we are no matter who plays here. It seems every guy gets his turn in the bullpen to blow games. Guys could pitch 7 great appearances when it doesn't matter, then their 8th is guaranteed to be a blown save. 14 of our losses are out of the pen even though we're the 3rd best pen ERA in the IL.
Obviously a big part of it is our abysmal offense not leaving room for error, still we're doing enough to be in games late...we just can't shut the door.

Have you tried Managerial/Strategy settings? If you've never changed them, maybe that can be linked?
Yeah. LA sucks. Same team, same lineups, same no development from young losers at the BLB level, I'm used to this. But this team is 11 games under .500? Yeah the Morris injury took him out for a bit but wow.
Wow despite a whopping 54 homeruns and an overall hitting machine in AAA our Lynn affiliate cannot snap out of it right now. Maybe it has something to do with the 45 errors and amazing -27.8 zone rating.
Cant wait til the June draft to start cutting some of these fuckers.

No matter how bad any of you feel about your teams right now you can always say "Hey, at least we aren't Davenport!"
That's new. Denver's been awful for a while now too.
And much like Jistic, an identity is easy to see when you manage these guys. Underneath all the mess in Denver is the same stuff I've dealt with since I took over this team.
I've always had some success with bringing in veteran starters. Some have missed but most have thrown the seasons of their lives at times.
But when it comes to offense, my team blows. If it weren't for Zamarida, I'd likely never have a good offense in my tenure.
Though I also know that's my own fault. I target certain pitchers and I've Lin admitted that finding gems in the rough hitters just isn't my thing.
