My history of grabbing guys was supposed to be sealed!

At the bottom of the 1st/early 2nd... it feels like everything is gamble.

        Had different types:

Tools scouts are roses and sunshine but find the gems

Neutral. Never had one, but I assume its in betweem or depending on the guys ratings.

Ability scouts hate everyone, but land the steady regulars well.

I think I only see one or two "Strongly favors" type scouts in the league but I could just imagine the "Strongly Favors Ability" scouts remarks. Lol!!!

OSA I only use for trends up or down over the course of a career. (Mainly trends down)

Its ratings PLUS verbage to me, but we all have our views on this.

"An ACE!!!?? You call that guy an ACE??? Asshole is more like it. Best served as a batting practice pitcher"

I must be in the minority here... but I rarely use the scout's words in a decision. I look at ratings and match them against type. The scouts words are so flakey sometimes even for well-established players.

Well guess one way to put it, I'll see "#1 on some teams, but #2 on most, ect, ect" in the heading only to dig deeper and read how his stuff isnt good, allows his shares of homeruns, walking is a big issue.

Lol, basically maybe Im just saying I look at everything.

I try to take everything into account. I feel like I can read pitchers better than hitters - always been a problem.

But, sometimes you have that guy with a potential control of 5 and the scout comes out with "inconsistent at times with his control."

That makes me cringe because the one time I avoided the scout's words on control, I ended up with Mueller struggling to throw a baseball into the Atlantic.

BTW - While we wait for the transfer, if the teams at the top of the draft WANT to "officially unofficially" make their picks... feel free.

Yep. Ratings and stats. My scout always seems to hate everybody after the first 20 pics anyway so I have to go by ratings and stats.

Everything is on hold right now. If Jistic wants to make his pick in the forums, he's welcome to. I'm not starting until we are solid.
