  • The Stadium Project 2.0

My team can't hit and I'm starting to blame it on my stadium.

I searched the OOTP boards for something that could do layouts for stadiums so I could better visualize not only my ballpark but each park in the BLB.

Somebody posted the link to this application that allows you to design the layout based upon wall angle and distance from home plate. It's really cool, you can customize it too (dirt and wall colour, field pattern, infield style, etc).

The link to those who are interested is here: http://www.ootpmods.com/ballparks

I've gone ahead and created my stadium and if there's enough interest I can continue on with the league. Took some time to go through the program but once I got the hang of it, it's pretty easy.

Always thought what Jake started was really cool but seemed a lot harder than this.

Lol, yeah I've spent sometime on this issue. Lefties die here and I refused to blame our right field at first, but being maybe naive misjudged.

I just made an adjustment to it (20lf right, 6 lf right center). I plan to do more when I can afford it, but still want a righty favored stadium...... Just not as skewed.

Matt, how do you envision your wall colour? Gambled on the red.

Trying to figure out in the program to round out the CF walls. What a nice and easy layout.

I used to avoid picking up certain pitchers just because I knew they'd get destroyed in old Phillips Field. Btw, is that for me Spear? You are the best former Davenport owner ever.

When you make Rocky Top, make sure you include the stiffs manning every defensive position.

It reminds me of Nationals Park or Citi Field (to a less extreme).
