Always first week makes for interesting reading. Maybe this go around we will have a strong END of April.

Also, nice injury report!!! Is three starters injured a bad thing?????

Not one starter pitched well this week. Hopefully that changes?

      Dreadful start!

Only thing I was happy about was our first half inning of the year.

My owner is probably committing himself to a mental instution right now because he thought we should play .500 baseball.

Crap. Doug Little and Boehmer the only ones to show up this week.

Not good if the plan is to actually develop pitching.

                  Not a good Omen:

                  Friday, April 12th, 2002
2B Helespntico Jarava was injured . The Diagnosis: cold. This is a day-to-day injury expected to last 2 days.
2B Helespntico Jarava was injured being hit by a pitch. The diagnosis is not yet known.
Did his cold cause a slow reaction to the pitch??

Tyler Gerald popped back on the top player list then......

                  Sunday, April 14th, 2002
SP Tyler Gerard was injured while throwing the ball. The diagnosis is not yet known.
Not the biggest deal, but adding a little salt to the wound:

                  Wednesday, April 10th, 2002
C Art Yeandle was injured in a collision at a base. The Diagnosis: strained back. He's expected to miss about 3-4 weeks.
Least we have Thang Mac on this one, but still WOW.

Not a good start. Pitching is terrible, I don't have a lot of money and my hopes my be resting on the right arm of a recovering Tyler Baker who has never shown anything in the BLB outside of a couple of stints in the pen.

Hell, by July, I may be 15+ games out and it won't matter, anyways.

Well that's the best start we've had in several years. 5-2 with a three game sweep of Pawtucket and splitting a 4 game set with Pittsburgh. Joey Simpson with 5 innings and 7Ks in his debut. I love my rotation as I said, its just a matter of the offense showing up.

2-5 for a Miller team hoping to make another run at the Ale crown. There were a few bright spots though as both wins came with rookies on the mound and Adili seems like the DL so far as he hit 4 doubles, 2 triples, one bomb in 26 AB's.

3-4, offense stunk, bullpen stunk, and Nakashima gave up 75% of the runs he gave up last year in one sim.

Thank goodness there are 26 sims!
