I think what happened with mine is the players on the 40 man that the AI automatically promotes onto the active roster for spring training put me about 200k in the red. That's pretty shitty though if that's the case since I lost 5.5m off my scouting budget for being 200k in the red.

      That's my "projected budget room."

The scouting page refers to a "projected balance."

According to my front office, my "projected final balance" is $14M.

      Is the label wrong?

I didn't design the game so I can't tell you what labels are correct or incorrect, but based on what appears to line up, it's looking at Projected Budget Room. That expense falls under the budget. By the way the game looks at it (again... my assumption) no room in the budget.

Looking at the teams north of $2.5... they all are in the green on Projected Budget rooms... the ones at $2.5 are at or below.

I'm $5,364,000 in the green and mine got reduced. The problem is with those teams on the fence. I should have had plenty of room to at least maintain my 4.5m budget of last year but because I tried to increase it by 200k too much I guess I got screwed. I'm not sure how to accurately predict how much projected balance will change by rolling over to the ST sim. I guess the lesson learned is to leave a big buffer or risk losing your budget.

I also had my scouting budget/player development budget slashed in half... and I also followed the letter of the law where it says "projected balance" obviously though, it's looking at projected budget, not balance.

                Disappointing.

Despite the fact that I was looking at the wrong number, given my $960K deficit, I suspect that's what happened to me too.

So you're saying you set your scouting budget at $2.5 and the game cut it to $1,250,0000?

That's what you get for signing Yi over me.

Here's what I can say on the whole scouting thing....

Nothing has changed in the game. We've not updated anything that would impact and we've obviously not had any patches. I have to guess this is how it's always been and the only recommendation is to watch your pennies.

I can't edit the numbers once they go in. I've searched the manual and the net and single player and can not find a place to make that change once it's locked in. Plus, more importantly, if the games not allowing it, we're not going to either.

If something needs to be changed going forward, we need to look at it from a "rules" standpoint. If someone wants to do some research on other options we can, but I'm not sure they are needed.

Will DFA time be moved out again so no sneaky sneaky though waivers?

Its not DFA, I believe its waiver period that needs to be raised. Refresh my memory. All of Pats questionable practices run together.

Great signing. I tried to go big on a one year deal thanks to my odd budget situation but it wasn't happening. Very nice squad you've got up in Maine.

Waiver period was shorter than sim time...so people can shuffle players from BLB to minors in one sim without anyone having a chance to claim them. As you can tell I need some AAAA talent for my BLB team.
