I'm almost embarrassed to say how much I've enjoyed hanging out with a bunch of guys talking about fake statistics for fake baseball players in a fake baseball league. But who am I kidding. We all know we love it.
With your permission I'd like to pop in now and then to see how everyone is carrying on. I'm happy the Furry Pigs will be well cared for. Thank you Spot and Matty for introducing me to online play. Thank you Clay for all the time and effort you put into this (and Andrew before you). As for the rest of you, I hope to find my way back to the BLB as a GM some day, so don't nobody screw this up!
With that, I guess there's just one thing left to say...

Pleasure to have you here, Gyro. Happy times in your future.
I would love to have you back but that also means someone I love will have to leave. That sucks. So maybe we can add a 25th franchise just for you. That would make funclown very happy.
I've said this like one million times, but he's my favorite player ever and I've always hated that I never had him in a Denver uniform when he was in his prime. Got beaten out once in free agency and hoped you wouldn't resign him when you did.
I realize that he was that old. Again, I used OOTP5 logic in this engine which was stupid. I was used to anamolies keeping their ratings and then simply retiring at old age in the old engine.
Only key retirement so far for the Colonials is Manager Adrian Medina.
Medina won two rings with Virginia. The first in 1997 as the Hitting Coach of the team that scored 928 runs. The second as Manager in 1999. He lost the 1998 Brewmaster's Cup to New Orleans.
No immediate report on who will replace Medina, but sources close to the team say don't sleep on Single A Pitching Coach and former California Kodiak and Syracuse Slammer Steve "Pongo" Boyd who just completed his first year as a Manager. It might be a stretch, but the 41-year-old has all the tools and might be an infusion in youth that the young Colonials and aging vets might grab onto. "Pongo" was the #2 overall pick in the 1981 Draft.
Damn, that sucks for Gyro. Congrats to Delandis on the title. It was well deserved.
LA is happy to announce the re-signing of Derrick Tucker. When the dust FINALLY settled we were able to get a deal done. It looks like we got a little flexibility in the budget for next year too.
