  • *OFFICIAL* 2001 Awards Voting & PIMP Thread

Out of respect for your fellow owners, feel free to give it a day or two to give people a chance to PIMP if they want to. If you're set on your ballot, carry on...

    http://www.simgamingnetwork.com/blb/...eos_ballot.php

    - Voting is mandatory
    - Vote in ALL Categories!!
    - Voting begins immediately and will last until the last SIM of the playoffs or final ballot is received.
    - Teams who don't submit a fair ballot may have their votes invalidated. (ie leaving a rival player off the ballot so your guy wins, etc)
    - Voting will be done in the utility using the link above.

NOTE: FireFox does occasionally experience issues with the voting utility.

I don't usually PIMP... but... all I ask when you are doing your ballot is to at least take an extra 30 seconds and consider TJ "Thank God I'm Not In Denver" Knudson for IL Stout Slugger. I won't break down his stats point for point, but I think he put together the most impressive offensive season in the IL if you factor in all facets of an offensive game.

If it's close in your head... vote TJ just to remind Carlos of what might have been. ;)

Doesn't this fact bother you? Shouldn't you take a hard look at how you're viewing the BLB universe that you were going to pass over the #1 hitter in the league for the next 15 years for a journeyman 4th starter who just now maybe kinda hopefully put it together (and went like 12 picks later)?

Thanks for the help with Indy, BTW.

Take a look at the SP Nick Cortes game log...the dude goes eight innings almost every single start. Never had an ERA over 3.00 at any point during his BLB season. Leading to a 76% quality start.

Not really because if you look through that thread, no one said a thing about Clay taking Knudson. No one even knew he was a get.

I would bet many didn't say anything because they were afraid Clay just took someone they weren't even considering at that spot.

We all hit and miss. The fact I didn't project Knudson and would have taken McCarty doesn't bother me. I would have been happy with McCarty. And his development only confirms I knew he would have been a good pick, even if not a better one than Knudson, for the moment.
