If there's ever been a curse of Rex Morgan, this is the scientific method to get there. 3 sims ago, we were 9 games up on Indy. Insane.

Nakashima blows his first save (thanks Brad). Rex does win another player of the week (he's been incredible). DeJesus looked like he knew what baseball was. Skinner shuts out Denver (not that impressive I guess).

Put up or shut up time. 19 games. It just sucks that Indy is a lot better than us.
I don't know what it is, and it seems weird to say it was Rex Morgan, but in the weeks and months after he left, guys are performing again. I've never seen anything like it, to be honest.

But, your'e still in 1st, and we're still chasing. We'll see how it turns out.

I could be wrong but stats since the trade:

Syrcause :50-35 before +13 on Indy , 28-30 after trade.

Indy :37-48 before 3rd place, 39-19 after trade.

FYI- Its not a slight on anyone who trades for him. I LOVE "THE BEAST" and followed his career since leaving Pawtucket. Even attempted to trade for him.

In a game thats mainly based on numbers in a computer, its sort of neat to see possible "curses" and things that can't be explained.

Plus my team sucks right now so I'm bored.

Said this earlier, its like the guys Rex plays with are in "awe" of him and just go into a funk.

Wow. Had to check and that is right.

I think it's cool too. Gives us something to talk about. Indy has been unreal since then. We haven't been great but it's not like we've gone into breakdown mode. I hate clowns.

Can't speak on a jinx. But, I think that race is a little simpler. I think Syracuse is good, but got a slight bump from a really poor start by Indy (I blame management). I think Indy was always the best team in that division and something just wasn't right. Now the ship is righting slightly.

The good part. Should be a nice budding rivalry for a few years.

It's true. If you need more evidence just look at how good Denver got after he moved Rex.

Or just look at how Denver fell apart late into the season it acquired Rex Morgan.

Obviously, I couldn't be expected to compete without Rex Morgan when I traded away every other good piece on that team.

Not the only team. Pittburgh (Z days) blew a HUGE wildcard lead the final month, Sycause think was never in it?, Davenport faded after aquiring him down the stretch, then Hartford had a strong first half only to fade out in the second half(and was hurt during a crucial stretch) ending a 5 year playoff run, Indy's whole team was in a funk, NOW with Syrcause again..............

Never fault the owners logic trading for him, but it really is very eerie since he alone should be able to carry a team.

Agree completely with your assessment except the budding rivalry comment. We don't have the horses to keep up with them moving forward.

You're not factoring in him screwing up his own team.
