Not to be outdone by Danny Salcedo, Brendan Gleason ALSO homers in his first ever BLB at bat. These kids have a flair for the dramatic.

I should have traded for the Kim guy earlier.

Pawtucket suffered a "mini" 12 game losing streak, Stucker came back and we won 3 of 4 the rest of the week.

Just watching the draft position and pennant races (basically one) right now.

Edit: No there are a couple races taking a second look, but I think all but maybe one will hold.

So the kids fell back to .500 going 2-5 after an explosive 5-2.

It's all good. More good for Davenport.

We're #1!......in top farm systems. And draft position.

The bullpen lost every game this week including 4 or 5 blown saves. Pathetic.

Tom "Demo" Oshman looked like a stud however in two starts. 8 innings of shutout ball at Baltimore, and 9 innings vs LAM giving up two. In three starts he got a 1.69 ERA with a 1.08 WHIP. Well done kid.

I also am obviously the J Allard leaving vote getter at this time after our masterful signing of Free Agent Geoff Ray who snagged player of the week.

Too little, too late, but I appreciate the effort boys. 6-1 week, Hai-feng Goei pretty much had his best week ever, 2-0 on the week with a 2.57 ERA, 9k in 14 IP, plus a HR at the plate. He's now 15-5 on the yearm winning at least 15 in 2 of his 3 years in Philly. Cheap player option for next season, so I expect him to decline. Not sure we have enough wiggle room to resign him to a market value deal so he may very well hit the FA market. We'll see.

In fairness, he's only been on the block for 2 years.

                        Yea. He's scary good.

In other news, Baltimore extends the lead in the Porter to six games. We are the masters of our own destiny now. Gotta win a few more.

Another big injury with Dore going down. I really liked what he gave as a #5/#6 this year. I think he would have been awesome to have in the pen or spot starts against lefty heavy lineups in the playoffs. I'm also happy that Hector (Gonzalez) will get two full weeks of play to shake off any rust that may have built up after his injury since there isn't any rehabbing in the minors available.

Oh would you look at that. Pancho is back at #1 in the Top Pitchers' List.

He's been #1 since the week after he got healthy. He's been dynamite. (14-1 and a sub 2.00 ERA)

The real news is the Chavez slump and TJ surge has thrust TJ into his first week at #1.
