  • 2001 - Down The Stretch...

    Whatcha watchin?

Any big names getting a September Call Up?

    Races you're tracking?

    ***

Here's an under the radar one...

If Sandoval (BAT) can hold off Knudson and Daly for the SB Crown.... it will be only the 2nd time in 11 years that a Colonial didn't win the title.
    The Great One!

    To many rings to count...

We already brought Jones up, so not much there after that. He's holding his own and I look forward to seeing how he develops. If Camilo returns to form, they could be one of the top 3/4 combos in the league.

As far as races, I'm interested to see if we have the horse to win the Wildcard, or take the Pilsner outright. We'll see.

Go Sandoval go! I'm giving him free reign to end the Colonel streak.

We aren't calling anyone up. Excited that all 3 minor league teams are in 1st place and hoping the playoff experience translates to BLB productivity down the road.

I'm exited to watch Balt/Cali down the road. Pretty sure both are playoff bound but it's a blast to watch two great managers go at it. We close out our season with three at Cali then four at home against Baltimore...maybe we can play spoiler to someone. Realistically we'll go 0-7.

I'm obviously very interested in one race in particular, but outside of that I'm watching the Bock.

If I had to pick a team I don't want to see from there, it would definitely be the Bandits. They are built a lot like we are so they always play well in Phillips Field and they have Manhos and Hernandez who seem to be able to shut us down even with our Anti-lefty lineup.

        Go Tobs!!

I'm in the wrong division to ever finish 1st but I would like to finish over .500. Schedule is against me big time. Only 2 player worth calling up. Joey Hirst and Travis Rideout.

If its any consolation, you wouldn't ever finish first in the Porter either.

Seriously though, another thing I'm looking at is the race for (potentially) the first new IL Pale Ale Pitcher in over a decade.....

Potentially? Are you hedging? When Pancho got hurt you all but did a touchdown dance that his reign was over.

I think Keifer could easily make a good case Offer on the table to keep him in town for the long stay
