Indy came into our house and laid the smack down. They didn't let us score once in the three game series. Embarrassing.

Then we went to Dallas who was mowing everyone down and took 3 of 4 losing only to Dimmick.

    OOTP. Where weird happens.

    3-4 sim. 7-12 overall.

I was just making a general statement

But your assumption is pretty safe.

2-5 for the Brawlers, which sad to say is our best week yet. What is also sad is that 4 of those losses were by 1 run. It's going to take some time to get this team in shape unfortunately.

Baltimore Bulldogs (14-5, T-1st in the Porter)

                        2-1 at Philadelphia
                        4-0 vs Batavia

We met up with a pretty good team in Philadelphia and didn't hit all that well but luckily, our pitching looked like it may be rounding back into the top form we've enjoyed the last couple of years. We looked REALLY good against Batavia but, who doesn't? (sorry Matt couldn't resist)

                        The Good

-Hector Castre looks to be shaking off the rest of the rust with 14.7 IP in 2 starts giving up just 3 ER, 1 BB and 13 K. He's such a workhorse and turns 36 this year. Its going to be a very tough decision on whether to bring him back after this year.

-Derek Vleugel is not only dangerous on the mound, but the kid is dangerous behind the plate as well. So far this year, he's gone 5/7 with 3 doubles and one RBI. Add to that, he's just pitched 8 innings giving up just 1 R, 0 BB, and 8 K in a win against Batavia. He's a complete player.

-Its nice to know that your bullpen can play lights out. This past week the bullpen gave up just 1 ER in 23 IP while going 3-0 with 4 saves. Very impressive.

                        The Bad
-Our entire pitching staff as a whole, is having a lot of problems keeping the ball away from the bats of hitters so far this year. We've giving up 119 hits so far this year, and that's a bit alarming.

                        The Ugly
-Clarence Lyon gave up 5 H, 5 ER in 3.7 IP this week. He can take his lack of movement directly back to Pittsburgh. Do not pass go, do not collect $200.

                        The Injured
-We still have 3 more weeks for Maekawa (SS) to return, but we do get Colin (Reed) back in a few more days. He's going to sit the bench and come back slowly as pinch hitter and for defense for the next week or so.

                        The Farm
-Dave Doggett (A) had his first start this year and he gave up 8 H but just 1 ER in 4.2 IP. I'm still not sure he's going to make it as a starter but he's still got a while to go.

                        The Week Ahead
-We look forward to testing the waters against the league's best record with 2 in California followed by 2 hosting Philly and ending the gauntlet with 3 more in Chicago. I'm not to sure what to expect in California so I'll go 1-1, 1-1, 2-1 for a 4-3 week.

Washington Bats (11-8; Tied for Stout Lead)

                          1-2 vs. Virginia
                          2-2 vs. Wilmington
Tough week. I can't think of the last time I had a losing regular season SIM. Been awhile. Lost four games by a combined five runs.

Best Game: After losing the first two of the series, it looked as if the Colonials were going to sweep. Down 2-1 entering the 8th inning, the Bats score five in the bottom half to get a win.

Worst Game: I lost two 2-3 games in the 11th inning against Wilmington. Back to back. But the worst game was the second of the Virginia series. Down 3-0, the Bats score six in the bottom of the 7th...then proceed to give up four the next half inning. Colonials win 7-6.

                          The Good
-A week after getting rocked in Baltimore, SP Troy Hanback bounced back with a eight inning, one hit, one walk, seven K performance against Wilmington. Currently leading the IL in FIP.

-What has gotten into SS Shawn Nolan? He is currently on pace for 17 triples and 26 homeruns. His previous career highs in those are 6 and 11. If he keeps this up, he will be going to his second consecutive All-Star game.

-That's why I'm paying you so much! LF Yidir Adili hit three bombs and had eight RBI this week.

                          The Bad
-IF Tyler McLouth has been my worst hitter (.655 OPS) and fielder (92% at 3B).

                          The Ugly
-MR CJ Skinner is struggling. In 1999, he gave up 9 ER in 62 IP. In 2000, 17 ER in 77 IP. This year, in just 2.2 innings, yes you read that right, he has already given up 9 ER.

                          The Injured
-2B Jeremiah Kelly continues to hit well but I am going to milk it one more rehab week. Clint Johnston made his rehab debut and in one of the games went 5/6. Chad Melson reports to Triple-A Richmond next sim.

                          The Farm
-In Triple-A, top prospect SP Lorenzo Campos is now 4-0 with four good starts. I have no problem leaving him in the minors to cook longer but he is probably BLB ready.

                          The Week Ahead
                          -2 @ Morgantown, 2 @ Virginia, 3 vs. Davenport. I'll say...1-1, 1-1, 2-1. 4-3

                          Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041

Good pickup. I tried to bring him back in but he didn't want to negotiate after being released. But if he is in your lineup with any regularity, it's time to upgrade.
