  • BLB 2000 Brewmaster series

    So who do you got?

    I'll start:

New Orleans 4-2 over Washington. Dave joins the brotherhood of multi Cup champions.

Martinez gets his act straight and RJ Curtis is still playing for a contract. Washington probably the more balanced of the two teams, but that one-two combination (for the last time?) is going to be tough to beat.

New Orleans typically struggles til the last month to make the playoffs(team depth?), but this team always seems built for series like this.

Washington has a bright future. They will be fighting for the IL banner every season for awhile. Just falls short in 2000.

These teams did play in the regular season, with the Bats taking two of three in New Orleans. Interesting series though. It was Loren Washington's first loss of the season to put him at 15-1. And while the Bats won the series, they didn't face Curtis or Martinez.

Should be a another good series. The Bats beat the Bandits in six and the Colonials in seven. I think this one goes six or seven as well. The Dukes rotation is rested and set while I have to scramble, which at this point, I'm still not certain who is pitching what game. I've thrown five starters this playoff based on match-ups and splits, so it's still up in the air.

Should be a fun series, either way.

I'm going with NO in 7. They just seem to have the knack to win.

          Give me VIR in 6.

The other two teams are really strong and deserve to win, but c'mon, we know how these things usually turn out.
