I just want to point this out in a conversation with Delandis before the playoffs.

Travis Fisher, Doug Bates and Norm Sutton vs. Virginia - 2000

        5-0, 2.22 ERA, 7 GS, 1.13 WHIP, 48.2 IP

Lets see just how bad these trends switch come Monday.
Travis Fisher, Doug Bates and Norm Sutton in playoffs.

        2-2, 5.78 ERA, 5 GS, 1.71 WHIP, 23.1 IP

Having said that... first game was a classic and welcome Robby Culler to the national spotlight.

Wow. A lot of close games. Nobody seems to be a lock, for the most part.

You're taking playoff consultation from B'more?

Nope, just sharing my preemptive grief over the losses to come.

You just have to beat Jenkins (who was bad in Game 2) and Kim (who is just mediocre). Old Nick has been good and Sutton is going to bite me because I couldn't close the deal with Spectre.

                I like your chances.

Also, as expected, my lack of an "Ace" continues to haunt me in the playoffs.

Travis Fisher is an ACE. I think he's a dominator next year. Bottomline, if he beats the defending champs three times in a series, dude is an ACE.

I think Fisher CAN be an Ace... but I certainly don't think he's on that level yet.

Way to go Jim. That was some incredible pitching by Dallas. My BP was lit up like it has been all year. The bats had little pop. I'm not sure how I got here but the deserving team is moving on.
