Trying something new this year. I think a lot of times when I open voting, people jump in immediately before Owners get a chance to make their case. Thought I'd open it up a SIM early.
IL Last Call RP - Clarence Ortiz5-1, 47 saves, 2.08 ERA, .96 WHIP, 91 IP, 95 K
He is going to end up #2 in saves, top five in strikeouts (first amongst CL) and was a huge reason for the Bats success this year.
IL Pale Ale SP - Travis DuFour15-5, 2.35 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, 112 K
He is #1 in ERA, #4 in W, #2 in H/9, #2 in OAVG and #2 in WHIP. He does benefit from a solid defense and pitching friendly stadium but he also pitched better on the road than at home this year. His 82.6% quality start is pretty damn impressive.
Wilmington Wildcats- 2057- Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041 Washington Bats - 1979-2013
Might stun people I'm not anointing Pat for the award. Lol, he already got "Greatest GM ever" award. Great job no doubt, but least from my end was expected to be good this season. The surprise was besting Virginia. Great job overall but:
If someone woke up opening day and said to themselves "Los Alamos, yeah the Bock is theres this year and will EASY" should be considered some sort of sage. Spot, no idea how you did it. You get the nod.
Jim for Dallas, only you can look at a team with back to back 80 wins and decide "THE TIME IS NOW!" Excellent work dealing with two, 2 pitch pitchers in your rotation and making it work.
Honorable mention: Mr Letter Z. This is more of a congrats for all those seasons of hard work , but falling short. FINALLY getting ur time in the sun

Im hurt. I win 90+ games with the injuries turned on and nothin.
I'd make an argument for Morgan, but since he got hurt and we're missing the playoffs, he's not the DL Stout Slugger. Wence Hautbourg is worth a 2nd or 3rd place vote for Pale Ale. He's had a hell of a year. Maybe Marco Perez gets a few votes for New Brew. He'll be a very good closer on some very bad Hartford teams in the near future.
