  • SIM #4 COMPLETE - Opening Day

Sim is up. A few important things:

    - Please make sure to move players off your DFA list before their 14 days run out. It takes me enough time as it is without having to release players 1 by 1. If you don't want a player with a minor league contract, outright release him rather than placing them on DFA.

    - Please make sure you have a proper number of players on your minor league teams. I know some teams were catching up on this after the first sim didn't work with FA. Basically it won't let me advance a day if you dont have your lineups filled out. I have to shuffle your players around and sometimes sign new ones to get it to work so a few teams might notice some minor league players they didn't sign.

Terrible performance! We're not hitting, and every pitcher not named McNeilage is getting shelled.

    Lucky to be 2-2.

My pitching is HORRIBLE. My starters combined ERA is 9.95. Very sad.

Yeah. I'm top 5 in almost every offensive category, but dead last in pitching.

            I'm not sure how I'm 2-2.

8th or 9th in the IL in pretty much every offensive category.
9th or 10th in the IL in just about every pitching category.

Oh well, they can only play better.

Aside from the opening day start by Drewery, my pitching has been stunningly average. Fortunately, my offense (led by Pete Kellum) has blasted me out to a 2-1 start. Hopefully the pitching will come around before the offense stops giving me an average of 7 runs of support per game....

Um, Andrew, did you accidentally hit the "suck" button on my team?

The Tobs are hitting a blistering .189 as a team through 4 games. Luckily the pitching has been pretty solid (except of course, my ace, who got rocked. 2-2, but I'd like to have more than 7 runs in 4 games.

                      Wow, my team sucks.

2nd most HRs, but last in runs.

Not terrible... 2-2 record. Top 2 starters got shelled, then the next two pitched gems. We're at least hitting well.

                          I got you all beat.

In my 10-7 loss to Philly. I had EIGHT, count 'em EIGHT unearned runs! My pitcher was pulled w/o even giving up an earned run. These crazy young kids, no fundamentals!

I think I got a little carried away with my strategy settings. 3 of my first 4 starters pitched complete games. My pitching staff should hold up pretty well but my offense has the potential to be horrendous.

I did have a couple of bright spots, one complete game and Sena is doing well at 2B (at the plate and in the field).

I've "knee-jerk" (read: Ozzie G.) sent some guys down and promoted a couple of kids. They wouldn't throw at the batter's head like I asked.
