    NEXT SIM : Monday

    ***

Trade Deadline has passed. I think I've gotten them all done correctly. I apologize if I screwed anything up.

Waiver Trades... be reasonable... Someone has to sift through that forum.

Missed a big opportunity as we take 2 of 3 from Indy to start the sim - so we are good enough to trade late round draft picks, Clown - but then split 4 with Denver and only pick up one game on division leading Dallas. Dammit Carlos.

5-2 sim again, so now we start playing? Got Philly and Cali coming up though, so back down to earth I bet.

First game jitters for Mr. Coates....at least that's the story I'm sticking with.

We did go 5-2 though and even with his disappointing performance we still posted a 2.80 ERA as team. One thing is for sure though, the entire team is happy about the trades we made which is nice.

                  Touche.

1-6, in our own division is just disgusting. Guess the guys were upset we didn't bring anyone in at the deadline.

Doing our slide, which will help draft position. Big Jon gets his second IL rookie of the month. In better news had some nice jumps in player development. Tom "Demo" Oshman took a nice jump and is scouting as a 7-5-6 now. Looks like he and Mejia will be battling for the number one spot in a few years.

Also late bloomer Dan Foglesong has been upgraded, which is good because we'd be screwed at C without him. He will make his debut at a seasoned age of 25 next year.

JJ Caplan also took a jump in ratings and now is pairing a potential 7 for contact with his 7 for power.

Until then we'll continue to wallow. Ming Er only out a few weeks which is a relief.

Washington Bats (66-39; 1st Place in Stout)

                          2-1 @ Morgantown
                          0-4 @ Virginia

Ugh. A four game sweep closes the Stout lead to just one game. Son of a bitch.

Best Game: The inconsistent SP Ivan Gutierrez pitches eight shutout innings, striking out nine batters in a 1-0 win over Morgantown.

Worst Game: First game of the Virginia series, the teams battled. Scoreless through five. Bats score one in the 6th. Colonials two in the 7th. Bats respond tying it up in the 8th. It goes to extras, where the Bats would lose 3-2 after a walk-off single in the 11th.

                          The Good
-Another game, another win. SP Loren Washington is now 13-0 after a 5-1 win over the Mohawks. This is the same Loren Washington that was dealt at last years deadline for a 5th round pick. Was then let free to walk in Free-Agency where he didn't receive an offer until March. Sometimes, you just get lucky.

                          The Bad
-A week long injury to CF Heishu Shiraishi will keep him out of the lineup for the next four games.

-His recent replacement at the #1 spot in the lineup, OF Miguel Angel Monchez has been up and down all year and he is on the down this month. Cold. He is hitting .045 in his last six games. Going to have to do something about that.

                          The Ugly
-Seriously? Clay you are going to re-sim to get all four? You couldn't give me even one? Awful sim all around. Poor hitting. Inconsistent pitching. Fielding errors. Injuries. Come on, man.

                          The Farm
-I will be calling back up OF B.J. Jobe due to the injury to Shiraishi and Monchez's inability to hit in the lead-off spot. In the month of August he is hitting .348. A sign of things to come I hope.

                          The Week Ahead
-Three vs. Los Alamos and three @ Baltimore. The Bats are 2-4 against LAM and 3-6 against BAL. Not good. Hopefully some home cookin' will get this team steered back on course. Prediction: 2-1 vs. LAM, 1-2 @ BAL, losing the Stout lead in the process.

                          Seattle Pilots- 2017-2041
                          Washington Bats - 1979-2013

I re-SIMMED 8 times trying to get your team to take one to make it more believable. 0-32... sorry.

4-3 sim... lost a game to Baltimore.

Tough week coming up with VA and Carolina.
