It's sad that in a year that I will be participating in player selection I have no players worth going.

Usually only one of them goes. As of one or two sims ago I had 5 other pitchers I would have voted in before either of them. Dimmick, Curtis, Martinez, Bryant and Hautburg. They were close to the top but not quite there. Apparently they snuck in a couple of good sims vs. some not so good performances from the leaders.

Seinosuke Sakuma. Because he actually is the best closer in the IL.

And Antonio Cardenas. The kid is turning in a very good sophomore season and is a big reason we have the offense clicking while Duarte struggles and Poling is on the DL.

I don't think the problem has ever been your ability to find talent, it's your inability to value it.

So do people just ignore stats like VORP and WAR when it comes to pitchers?

I didn't even know what WAR is until I just looked.

Is WHIP then ERA not a good match? I admit I don't know a lot about baseball stats. I've learned a lot just from OOTP.

                                I don't. I take everything into account.

But I don't blindly choose the top five VORP or WAR guys either.
